"Was recommended this by our Airbnb provider and what a place. Visited in mid-October and was fortunate to arrive in glorious sunshine, so we have tea and coffee in the garden to start with. After enjoying the sunshine we went in to the pub as we had booked a table (always recommended to do so, especially on a Sunday). Firstly this a historic pub building, over 500 years old, with a huge open fireplace that had a log burner. We were shown to our table and the offered drinks and menus immediately. We decided to take time to order our food, which the staff were ok with, no rushing us to order. When we did order, we both went for a traditional beef roast. Firstly it was served within a reasonable period of time and the portions were amazing. The plate was served up with the beef, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, then side dishes of cauliflower cheese, carrots, and cabbage with bacon. It was extremely tasty and filling. One of the best Sunday roast ever! When we finished, we were unable to fit in a dessert immediate, so they kindly agreed to do us an Dorset apple cake and sticky toffee pudding to go. It was delicious. So great food but on top of that, the service was great and it was good value for money. Definitely will go back if in the area."

A fantastic meal. We each had three courses and thoroughly enjoyed them all. A small but interesting menu. Highly recommended.

What a lovely surprise. A proper local pub with wonderful food and a warm and friendly atmosphere. I would make a special effort to return to this pub.

We've been twice in a matter of a few days and it's excellent. One visit for dinner, the staff were very attentive and the food excellent. The next visit was for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. No doubt we'll head back before we leave.

Wonderful welcome in this warm, friendly, atmospheric pub. Excellent freshly prepared food, a step up from most pub grub in the area, imaginative and beautifully cooked. Local beers and good reasonably priced wines. Vegetarians very well catered for, we can't wait to go back. Visualizza piatti

My family and I visited Ibberton while in Dorset, as we often do. The restaurant was warm, cozy, and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The food was delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a charming little jewellery cabinet made by a local lady, with proceeds going to charity.

Quiet location, nice gardens and friendly staff. The real star is the food regularly changing menu, all freshly cooked (so expect a short wait while you relax and enjoy the surroundings). The small plate starters are tasty and fresh, main courses well presented and beautifully cooked. If it’s on the menu look no further than the monkfish scampi, but everything is good. The side salads are a joy, fresh and well dressed without being overpowering, and the homemade tartare sauce the best I’ve tasted.

Yesterday we received a very warm and friendly welcome for our Sunday lunch. Whilst the adults thoroughly enjoyed the sumptuous roast beef, trimmings and lovely vegetables, the younger members of our family were delighted with the range of burgers and fish and chips. The food was beautifully served on hot plates and very generous in portion size. The ‘mushroom’ shaped Yorkshire puddings were a culinary triumph. Delicious puddings rounded off an excellent meal and we would highly recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone looking for a traditional Dorset delight for food and drink. Visualizza piatti

This charming country pub offers a good selection of food and ales. They are open from Thursday to Sunday. The only downside was that they had run out of many desserts when we visited earlier in the day. The waiting staff kept informing us of unavailable options after we had made a choice, which was a bit frustrating. It may be better if they let customers know what is unavailable upfront. Despite this small issue, the staff were friendly and the location was lovely, especially with the fragrant roses in the garden on a sunny evening. We would definitely consider returning as the pub is also dog-friendly and has a moderate price range. Overall, we recommend it, although fans of old books may...

We hadn't been to this restaurant in years, for reasons that don't need explaining. It has an authentic, rustic feel and offers a warm and personal welcome. It is popular with hikers and cyclists, and has traditional flagstone floors and a cozy wood burner. The menu is interesting, with a blackboard listing the wines at very reasonable prices. We all enjoyed the starters, which included freshly made soup, a scallop dish, a king prawn dish, and nicely presented fresh oysters. The roast meals were delicious, with a homemade feel and generous portions of vegetables, including freshly made broccoli and cauliflower with white sauce. The desserts were also homemade and beautifully presented. Altho...

"The Museum Inn, located in Farnham, Nr. Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 8DE We booked late on Friday night and only one room was available so it was meant to be! We arrived around 5pm and were greeted by friendly staff, shown to our room The Catch and made a reservation for dinner, luckily they still had spaces for dinner but it is advised to book in advance. Lovely spacious room and bathroom, kettle, teas, coffees and bottled water supplied. I have to say I fell in love with the hand wash and hand cream, I have already purchased some for home, the brand is called Bramley and the scent is Lavender, Geranium and Petitgrain. The bed is probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in that is not our own, soft feather pillows that were just right! Dinner was a three course meal and it was delicious, we took 2 hours to eat but never felt rushed or like we were waiting too long between courses. Starters: Ham hock terrine with sourdough toast and Prawn, potato and crayfish fishcakes. Mains: Burger and Steak Ale pie Desserts: Chocolate Brownie with cherry sorbet. Biscoff donuts with pumpkin pie ice cream Drinks: Poretti lager and Cherry cocktail. Breakfast: Eggs Royale and Smashed avocado, poached egg and bacon, absolutely scrumilicious! Big thanks to Amanda who served us this morning and checked us out. Highly recommend staying and eating here and we will 100% be back again! Safe travels! The Allsebrooks x"
