"The Roseland Inn in Cornwall is a must-visit, as long as you have a car to get there. If not, it's worth the adventure to arrive on foot to enjoy the great ambience both inside and outside the restaurant. They serve the best fish and chips in the area, but it may be a bit pricey for mainland Europeans. However, the fun atmosphere makes up for it. The average price per person is between £20-30, and the food, service, and atmosphere all receive a 5-star rating. Parking options include free street parking."

"My family and I were on holiday in the beautiful village of Tregony, and we visited The King's Arms twice. Both times, we received a warm welcome, enjoyed delicious meals, and experienced friendly, efficient service. I had the fish and chips, and also tried the steak and Tribute cake, both of which were excellent. My sixteen-year-old son particularly enjoyed the burger with a special bread. They served the best chips I've had during our stay. This traditional Cornish pub is definitely worth a visit!"

"On arrival at The Ship Inn we were greeted by a nice lady who served us some drinks at the bar. We then went over to a table to settle down for what we thought was going to be a nice meal. The lady took our order and suggested to my partner that the fish was a good choice as it was huge, so we ordered the fish chips and I opted for the chilli con carne. We didn’t have to wait long before the food was bought out and this is where the problems started! The fish wasn’t “huge” at all and the chilli portion was tiny. I politely asked for some more chilli and the nice lady’s attitude towards us changed completely at this point. If you can’t take criticism lady then you’re in the wrong job! She asked the chef for some more who apparently said yes he will sort it yet she then said we don’t have any and I could have some chips. The chips were mediocre but the chilli had very little taste to it, you’d be better off spending £1 on a microwave meal which would taste better. I would normally have taken this further and asked to speak with the manager having been completely ripped off for the price of the bland food, our drinks and the poor service but it was the start of our holiday, my family were all tired and we just wanted to leave. We had high hopes for this place but we won’t be returning again."

"I went here for dinner with my wife. As we approached the landlady was smoking on the doorstep and she flicked the butt into the weeds. No greeting as we walked in from the landlady. The staff were friendly though. I ordered spicy chicken breast and my wife ordered sea bass. The chicken looked like a frozen ready meal, but not as appetising. When it arrived the waitress had to keep stopping, despite wearing oven gloves, because the plates were too hot to handle. The chicken tasted deep-fried and microwaved (not sure how they managed that). The sea bass was oily and accompanied by soggy veg. A truly shocking experience and right up there with the worst pub food we've ever had."

"Tuesday 22 August 2023, my husband and I after visiting a nearby garden we drove to ‘The Kings Arms’ public house in Tregony, which once was an old coaching inn back in the 18th century when Tregony was a thriving harbour port before the river silted up and became no longer navigable. We had booked a table here at 7.00pm, and we were served to a wonderful meal. We did not bother with starters, as we were saving ourselves for the main course and dessert. My husband and I for our main course had baked hake with a seafood risotto, which said delicious. We washed all this lovely food down with two pints of ‘Proper Job’ St Austell bitter for my husband, and I had a pint of ‘Rattler’ Cornish cider. We both had the banana waffle with caramel ice cream and toffee sauce for our dessert, which was really scrummy and the perfect finish to our meal. We did not bother with any coffee or tea afterwards as we were both well fed and contented. We have been coming here for many years and it is always a pleasure to return and Kim the landlady is wonderful."
