Jon had the veggie breakfast, which comprised of fried eggs, mushrooms, tomato, beans, falafel, wedges, mozzarella and toast and I had a really nice mushroom and cheese omelette...

unfriendly staff. we were twice in series, served by two different employees and both were incredibly unfriendly. I never write reviews, but the waiters are so angry that I felt compelled to express my disappointment! it is a real shame, as the building itself is nice comfortable sitting places decent eating, but the personal really let it. as in the previous review I rarely check restaurants, but felt compelled to do this after visiting the groom caffes as it was so terrible. the service was slow and all the staff stopped stubborn. in addition, menu confusing and strange combinations, tea served with cream, strange tasting falafel with veggie breakfast, no speck available to breakfast and came with bark sausage and not made clear. avoid them!

A disgrace. The staff here are unbelievably rude. The scrambled eggs are consistently under cooked (salmonella) and its run by arrogant middle easterns so theres no bacon on the menu. They take a long time to serve you so if you dont need to be anywhere that day then fine. It is frequented by yuppy mummys with yuppy babies who scream alot. Avoid this place like the plague. I feel I must mention the staff here are so rude they dont deserve to still be in business.

I used to go to this cafe quite a bit a few years ago as it always had good service and was usually pretty quiet so I could be sure of a seat and plenty of time to read the paper. Some things have changed though, well one thing in particular, it was massively busy. We managed to get a seat on the couch at the front straight away but most of the time there was a queue of people waiting. It was Saturday lunch time though so that's probably to be expected. Wot Bacon?. Great place, sometimes a bit on the noisy side. They do a lovely assortment of stuff. Dailys specials change all the time are normally pretty good. Excellent breakfast with a choice of fried, scrambled or poached eggs, the scrambled ones are cooked too a tee, just enough so they will stick to the sliced toasted bread stuff that come with it, (not sure if it's a bagette or French stick), Sausages are beef, very different tasty. Chicken supreme with goats cheese yummy. Chips come in a large portion, lightly spiced. Great selection of cakes/pies/sweets little biscuits

This local independent cafe is always busy whenever I go past so I thought it was finally time to give it a try. It has a very European feel to it, little marble tables, a beautiful wooden service area. The menu is very much french has all the usual things you would expect from a French cafe including some beautiful homemade cakes. I opted for the croque Monsieur, a posh cheese ham toasted sarnie really. It was delicious, beautifully toasted with a nice mustardy kick, and a gorgeously dressed side salad accompanied it. I would definitely go back again for a light french lunch.

Lovely relaxed cafe. I have used this cafe a few times and every time I have loved it. Great food (falafels recommended). Great decor and big comfortable tables and chairs where customers can use a laptop comfortably. Good mix of people in yesterday from mummies with children, a few business types using laptops to an impeccably turned out lady of senior years enjoying a cream cake and a coffee with evident pleasure. Nice community notice board where local people can put up notices. Friend and I occupied a table for an hour on one cup of coffee no pressure to move on. The management of the cafe are creating a pleasant place where all sorts of people can meet up and pass the time of day in...r... Visualizza piatti
