"This carvery is simply the best in the region. While there have been some changes, such as not being able to serve yourself and certain menu items missing (like cauliflower cheese), the price is very reasonable at £7 for a large carvery. The meat is beautifully cooked, with huge Yorkshire puddings, delicious roast potatoes and stuffing, fresh vegetables, and tasty gravy. The manager and staff are lovely, making it a great place to dine. It's unfortunate that some visitors are not appreciative of the fact that the restaurant has recently reopened and may have some teething problems. There is no excuse for shouting and screaming at the manager over a genuine mix-up with meals that she personally apologized for. This behavior is unacceptable."

"**Venue:** The restaurant had a lovely ambiance typical of a hotel setting. **Food and Drink:** We chose the three-course set meal at an incredible price of £18 per person. For starters, we ordered Prawn Cocktail, Caesar Salad, and Garlic Mushrooms. For our main course, we had homemade pie and chips with vegetables, and for dessert, we chose baked cheesecake. Our drinks included a cappuccino, a half pint of lime and soda, and a half pint of Coke. The food came out quickly, and it was freshly prepared and served hot. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that we were informed the pie of the day was steak, but two of them were actually chicken. This wasn't a huge issue for my mum and me, but my sister isn’t fond of chicken pie. Fortunately, I was happy to swap my steak pie with her chicken pie (yes, she knows I’m the best big sister ever!). We did mention the pie mix-up to our waitress, who offered to rectify it, but we declined as we didn’t want to wait. The pies were delicious, filled generously, and had a wonderfully crisp pastry. The starters were also well-sized, and the cheesecake was delightful. **Service:** The service was efficient and unobtrusive. The waitress was very apologetic regarding the pie mix-up, and the manager discounted our bill by 10% without us having to ask. We truly appreciated this gesture, as we weren’t overly concerned about the mistake, but it was clear that they cared. This was a commendable response that reflected excellent customer service. **Price:** Our total came to £55.71. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience, and we would definitely return. We all felt it was great value for money."
