My wife, daughter and I went to the OWH for a last minute lunch on Christmas Eve. What a wonderful treat this was. There was a lovely festive atmosphere, staff were very attentive to our needs despite it being busy. Food and drink were delicious especially the hunters chicken. This will become a Christmas Eve tradition every year now along with regular visits throughout the year. Thanks Timothy and the team! The staff done the best they could I guess and they were polite and curteous but we arrived at 6 pm for a family birthday dinner. QWe had all pre-ordered our food. Our food was not served until after 7pm and only because we had to ask to be served. My partner and I did not have starters but others in our party did. When our food arrived my sirloin steak was okay but very badly presented. My partner had ordered the rib of beef but this was absolutely shockingly bad. It was burnt, the vegetables were sloppy leaks and cabbage and there was no potato other than what appeared to be four pieces, smaller than and as this as a two pence piece. It was not even tasty.
