The Oxton Courtyard

We had just popped into Oxton for a beer or 2 and decided to have a early evening meal , been here for a drink and this time decided to try the food it was a great choice , lovely food , great staff pleasant surroundings.Well worth a visit.

This is one of our favourite Sunday afternoon haunts... we go in for 2 for 1 cocktails and some tapas and watch life in Oxton village go by. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the food is a little bit different than the standard pub grub and tastes lovely too.

I met friends here on a Tuesday evening for Tapas, with 40 off, the tapas were really tasty , good portions , not spanish as the name suggests more english , I had plenty to eat at a reasonable price, the staf were pleasant , my only critism is that it was very quiet , i prefer more of a buzz. But I certainly would visit again for the Tuesday and wednesday deal . Visualizza piatti

The food was amazing. They're classed as tapas so small plates means you're having your own little buffet at the table. We had 5 plates between 2 of us and this was plenty. The king prawn linguine was divine, the tastiest prawns I've had in a long time. Bbq chicken was succulent and juicy. 2 for 1 cocktails just helped the night along! Would definitely recommend and will be back.

I went to the restaurant with friends on Thursday at 5pm for a pre-booked meal. We were only informed when we were seated that the 40% off menu price offer advertised on their website had ended on Tuesday. This was an embarrassing situation that may happen to future customers, as the offer is still displayed on their website. This is a sloppy business practice that will likely increase their profit this month. After this experience, I won't be returning to this restaurant.

Worst breakfast I’ve ever ate. Service very slow and pretty shocking, waited half an hour before our orders for food even got taken!!! For the majority of them to be wrong!!! This is the breakfast with ‘everything’ but where is the sausage? they forgot, And one piece of bacon is just ridiculous? I also asked for white bread and got given brown then had to ask for butter for the brown bread I didn’t even want. The egg literally tasted like it had been boiled in vinegar!! We all went threw 2-3 drinks waiting for our order to be taken and waiting for food! Safe to say not 1 out the 7 of us will never be visiting here again! Visualizza piatti

Firstly I will get a couple of negatives out of the way...the ribs were not good at all and were sent back. There was a group of 2 couples behind us and one of them was vaping throughout the meal. They were joined by others who stood behind us and we couldnt really say anything as the conversation which we could hear was quite intimidating. Positives 2 for £10 cocktails were lovely. The other sharing plates were decent, especially the pork belly and the halloumi fries. The best bit. The negatives that I highlighted above were dealt with when we flagged them up. Food was awful and the service was even worse. Went with a group of friends. Two of us ordered a drink of cola after 30 minutes still no sign. Asked two other staff members and eventually got them. Food was so bad never experienced food that looked and tasted so disappointing. Tried to order more drinks, asked three staff again and got our drinks after 50 minutes. Not surprisingly when we asked for the bill there was no delay and it was on the table in under a minute. After we paid and were trying to enjoy our drinks that took so long to get to us one of the staff kept coming to our table and wiping it down which made us all feel uncomfortable. Ordered off the steak section and ordered all the sides and a sauce with it and wasn’t told that I was paying for everything separate even though I was ordering off the steak part of the menu and pointing to it to the waitress. She didn’t tell me that I had to pay for all my sides and sauce separate. My steak main came to £26!! Think you need to just mention this to customers that in fact you are ordering from a different menu and your paying for everything separate if I was told I wouldn’t of ordered it.
