The Plough Harborne

Eat here regular. The food is great, always to a high standard. The place is always clean and welcoming. Outdoor is 80 percent covered as qell with patio heaters doing a good job in the colder months.

One of my favourites places in Birmingham to eat! The staff are always super friendly and accommodating and the food is excellent at a great price for the amount you get. I can't recommend this place enough

Went in for Sunday roast with colleagues. Had the vegetable roast, plenty of veg, others had the pizza (vegan) and were very accommodating for the dairy allergy, and the other dish was the beef chilli. Great desserts also. Visualizza piatti

It was a bit noisy but it was a busy Friday evening. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Attentive staff, good selection of beers (including Attic Brewery's Intuition, one of my favourites) lovely food with generous portions. Will definitely be going again.

Staff are nice and attentive, food is good it’s mainly pizza so it’s hard to get wrong. But 6.75 a pint? It’s more expensive than the Dorchester in London. Just a bit baffling. Maybe there’s limited choice in the area for good pizza and atmosphere or something but blimey I just don’t know how any place could justify that price

The Plough is an excellent local Harborne gastropub. The service is friendly, but often slow at the bar. The menu is limited in choice and personally I find it to be excessively expensive for what you’re getting. Drinks aren’t cheap either, there are many cheaper alternative locations a stone’s throw away. But the atmosphere is great and there is a fantastic beer garden. A year ago I would have given this place 5* despite how expensive drinks are there (and food isn't particularly cheap either! . But the menu was great and design/vibe as well. But now all my favorite dishes disappeared from the menu! First cuban sandwich became only veggie, and now its gone at all. The burger menu shrunk, and pulled pork benedict is also gone from the brunch menu. Pizza's are still good, but I would rather have it at Rudy's (which opens soon next door for a fraction of price (and definitely better! .

My GF and I fancied Sunday lunch so thought we would pop in here to eat. The online booking is a total waste of time. It stated there wasn't a seat for hours, yet I knew the pub to be half empty as my friend was already there. When we arrived 20 minutes later we were sat at a table straight away. The food was amazing and the price was fair for the quality of it. The customer service was superb too. There is very little choice for vegetarians or vegans, which is a real shame. There is no parking, and the traffic and roads directly outside are horrendous. I have always found this establishment to be a classy place. I go to The Plough fairly regularly for food and drinks but always leave feeling a little underwhelmed and overcharged. The ambience and atmosphere is always great; both inside and outside you’ll get a great buzz and a pleasant place to sit. The menu is on paper excellent. I’ve eaten there for brunch and dinner and there is something for everyone. Most recently I had a full English there. It cost £16 and the plate was mostly filled with pretty sorry looking undercooked mushrooms and tomatoes. The one sausage was very nice but the streaky bacon was a bit chewy.
