The Rowbarge - Menu

Not the greatest food, have had much better and cheaper! Highly overpriced at £16.95 for burger and fries, as for presentation not a lot of care given, food looked like it was thrown on the plate! On a plus the staff were very friendly!

Nice location. Traditional country pub. Good social distancing. Eat and drink either outside or inside. Online ordering outside for food and drinks. Inside has table service. Good food and good range of drinks. Really nice staff. All good.

excellent evening last night large service, felt very safe with their Kovid procedure. eat top notch as always. especially liked the envelope we were given with our bill! assumed we are not yet in category 3/lockdown, we will be back to use it before 11th feb 2021! thank you for having us!

excellent Malaysian curry. tested like similar dishes in kamboja. ziegen al fresco. with view of the castle and the narrow boats on the well-known channel. social distancing succeeded brilliantly. sanitising tables between guests. face masks used by all employees. many parking spaces. are you coming back?

Overpriced and underwhelming food. Starter was a salmon cake with lemon grass a measley portion for £10. Was a premaid portion microwaved. Main was supposed to be half a BBQ chicken ands chips etc. Ended up with what seemed an oven cooked chicken with bbq sauce and this for £20. Provided feedback on night but couldn't care less. Will not be visiting again!

Stopped and had some delicious food while cruise the kennet and Avon canal with the parents. They both had roast dinners which were presented well, tasted fresh and needless to say they left empty plates. I had beer battered cod, chunky chips, mushy peas and home made tartar sauce. Fish was perfectly cooked. Followed by desert which was also equally delicious they do smaller plates for puddings too which suited me perfectly as I wouldn't normally have one. Pleasant staff and efficient service to top it all off, so all in all a nice experience.

We often visit the Rowbarge for various celebrations but have recently noticed a decline in food/service. On Sunday we visited and left extremely disappointed. Starters were ok but not worth the prices. For mains I ordered the roast chicken with seasonal veg and trimmings. When served it was just chicken, undercooked potatoes cabbage on my plate. I realised the Chef forgot to put on the stuffing and pig in blanket and flagged to the waitress. Items were delivered a little while later cold (and undercooked) in a bowl, which I didn’t eat it.
