Friendly and welcoming pub. with limited range of real ales.Did not eat but menu looked interesting and meals were reasonably priced. .

Best fish and chips I've ever had: very large portion, light batter, french fries and proper peas (not mushy ones). Quick lunchtime service. Marquee works well. Friendly helpful staff.

Lovely atmosphere. Great staff landlord. Everyone is always attentive friendly! Marquee is an excellent way to accommodate the outside' rule, but also had many a joyous evening up there. Sean the team will always feel welcome

I have my moms in the royal oak our village pub, so disappointed ,no gluton free eating as ordered when he was quenched quite gruffly said that I did not order, said eating that in the offer was not of a...big standard and certainly not worth money. I'm so disappointed that my mother didn't have the farewell she deserved.

Brilliant Sunday dinner, with local melt-in-the-mouth roast beef from Offham Farm, absolutely delicious, even came with cauliflower cheese! Had a gorgeous homemade apple crumble with cream for afters, what more could you want! we drove last night into the pub for the vintage pizza van who wasn't there. but we were not disappointed! instead we had such a fantastic meal great starter, delicious sea roast, all beautifully presented, with a perfect white wine. this pub has gone in recent years under the new renter of power to power, love the decor, love the atmosphere, love eating.

We were staying at a nearby camp site (30 minute walk away) and had a guest join us for a catch up on the Saturday so we walked to this pub for a relaxing lunch together and it couldn't have been more accommodating. Considering the...restrictions from Covid-19, they organised everything really well and we just enjoyed their lovely food whilst we enjoyed the picturesque village pub. It was well worth the walk.

we were a group of 25-30 with a car club lunch and a game of skittles. the skittles gasse is located in its own functional space on the side of the pub, so was ideal for the purpose. when it was pre-ordered, we had three. Dishes including a vegetarian and judged by the numbers that went up for seconds, we were not alone to appreciate the eating. so hate the kitchen team, even those behind the bar take care of us, many thanks for a great afternoon.
