"This is a terrific pub, you instantly feel welcomed and at home. It is full of real character, you can tell it is independently run. The food is delicious and menu is regularly refreshed, but not overly so. . Ben and the team are all very friendly, helpful and always accommodating on requests. Can't believe it has taken me so long to leave a review, frankly!"

Good pub. I started stopping here on beautiful days for a quick half after my pendulum house on the bike. Appears to be a bike-friendly pub, friendly barstaff

A large Victorian pub with partially covered terrace. Good beer, excellent food and a great family venue. Staff helpful, friendly and efficient. Strongly recommended for family groups.

Hosted a birthday party here in one of the upper rooms. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff all extremely helpful. Bar fully stocked and everything was brilliant. Couldn’t recommend it more.

We went for Sunday lunch and Elly was fabulous. Very helpful, friendly, kind friendly face and is an asset to your team. Excellent service… we will definitely be back. The burrata salad and chicken thighs were delicious.

Fantastic food and service, thank you. We had the private dining room upstairs for 22 people for dinner for my 30. Birthday and I can't thank the staff enough to make it such a fantastic evening. Would definitely recommend and reuse.

We reserved the private dining area above for our wedding parties with family friends and we had the best experience. Can't recommend The Selkirk very much, the communication, the food, drinks... Everything was perfect! Thanks to Ben Team

We went along for a Good Friday lunch and to celebrate my sister’s 30th birthday. The team there were very busy but each and every one of them were friendly, smiley and helpful. We had a lovely meal and the atmosphere was great. Thank you to the Selkirk for a wonderful afternoon,
