This charming little pub is a must-visit. We dined here yesterday and enjoyed a delightful lunch. The food was delicious and clearly made fresh to order. Well, it's not a 5-star hotel, so if you want to have a service like 5-star, go to 5-star..for me everything was more than very good. Rooms are clear, bathroom clear, towels fresh.However, my allergic fiancé gets an allergy, but I might have happened because it's a dog friendly place-we don't know. The food was incredible! I've definitely put on a few pounds. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the portion sizes were generous (maybe a bit too big, but the chef doesn't want anyone to leave hungry). The Sunday roast came with a delightful selection of vegetables, including kale, peas, zucchini, carrots, sweet potatoes, parsnips, roasted potatoes, leeks in cheese sauce, and red cabbage. Everything was delicious! I suggest not judging the restaurant by its exterior; instead, enjoy the cozy atmosphere inside. It's also very close to Newquay Airport, which is why we chose it. Unfortunately, we didn't take any photos.

Told us we could walk from the airport. We arrived after dark and in the rain. There is no sidewalk on the road. We ended up getting fleeced by a taxi driver for going the two city blocks to the inn. Once there the place was closed up and had to wait for the owner to let us in. As we walked through the facility, we noticed that everything is old and unkempt. Owner put us in the furthest room up some stairs. There was no one else staying there. The room was unclean, the toilet was broken. There was only one towel for each of us. We didn’t take a shower because it looked dirty. The owner offered us breakfast but we were too turned off by the whole experience we didn’t trust we would get a hygi...

Stayed two nights and it cost £180 which wasn’t weren’t the money. Our room was at the front so was noisy from traffic and customers having drinks underneath our bedroom window. The bedroom was basic with a very small tv and the bathroom was not very good. The shower was slow and took a while to adjust the temperature to get it right because it came on to hot all the time. The nets on the window had mould on, light above the sink didn’t work, the toilet seat was loose. We didn’t get our room cleaned at all so no fresh towels/shampoo/coffee/ tea or milk and had to ask for more. The breakfast finished at 9.30 so felt rushed to get up early to get it.
