Fabulous burgers, fries, coleslaw, salad and sauces! Cooked to perfection! Super tasty! 100% better than The Pheasant and at a fraction of the price! Very impressed keep it up! Delicious thank you!

Since the new manager took over, we decided to give it a try, and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious, and there was a great variety on the menu. The staff were very friendly, and I'm sure we'll be back soon.

After experiencing several management changes over the years, this remarkable institution has finally found new life with a consistent menu, skilled chefs, and a dedicated staff. It's a fantastic choice for families looking for a fun dining experience, and it's also great for hosting events, as they are always accommodating. Highly recommended! Five stars!

Probably will not return. Beer cloudy. Even though I picked up the glass and stared at the cloudy beer they chose to ignore or were oblivious to how real ale should be. My colleague and I give it the benefit of the double and had two pints but the second was even cloudier. Then a regular camd in and they told him it was the end of the barrel and they had no more. They knew they were serving the dregs of the barrel! I vote with my feet and will frequent other pubs that know how to serve and keep draught beers properly. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I'm a solo traveller with my dog and decided a long walk in the rain was a good idea,it wasn't! I spotted this pub and decided it was time to dry off. From the minute I stepped in I felt welcomed. They seated us by a gorgeous roaring fire to dry off,treat my dog to several trests and lots of fuss. It was so homely there we ended up staying for a meal and several more drinks. On asking if they could help me organise a taxi the young landlady offered me a lift ! There was nothing these brilliant people wouldn't do. I'm so glad I found this gem.of a place.
