"Ate at the Stag Thursday night (it was curry night with a couple of options for those not fancying a curry). We both went for the beef madras it was absolutely superb! The right amount of heat, delicious lean beef that was cooked to perfection absolutely melted in the mouth! The rice was cooked perfectly generous portions. We enjoyed it so much we booked back in for the Friday burger night. Soooooo glad we did! Absolutely divine homemade burgers with a wide choice of additional toppings sides. Honestly they were the best onion rings we have ever had! My partner, who doesn’t normally eat pork couldn’t get enough of the loaded tater tots! Excellent value, delicious food, friendly welcoming staff locals. The stag is a small village pub, it does get busy but it is worth the short wait! Exceptional, looking forward to visiting again"

An amazing pub with a warm welcome and fabulous selection of well kept beers. Without any doubt this is the best pub in Anglesey. Keep up the great work!

Very welcoming pub, lovely staff, and was amazed to find shipyard ale in draught. Only disappointing issue, no food available as chef was off , overall worth a visit.

We ended up staying all evening after stopping in for a quick pint. Gwyn and Maddie were excellent hosts, and the locals invited us to join their table. The beer and food were amazing. The people were wonderful and it was a fantastic place to be.

Poor, 3 choices on menu chicken coujons, fish coujons sausage , jar curry sauce curries, anything that can go in a deep fat fryer worst meal I've ever been served in a pub, 8 people all disappointed 60th birthday celebrations, quiz was a savour. If you going to Camaes there is a lovey bar and restaurant though the field from the beach Gove this a miss all day long

I was staying in Cameas Bay on the second night of my cycle camping tour of Anglesey. I had gone to the Stag Inn for lunch only to be told they don't serve but I was more than welcome to get food from elsewhere in the village and come back to the Stag to grab a beer and eat my lunch works for me. I asked about dinner and was advised to book a table which I did. Come dinner time I wasn't massively hungry so I opted for the kids sausage, mash and peas, plus a couple of adult drinks. The food was spot and the sausages were locally made which I always look out for. From the upstairs terrace, you can just see out across Cameas Bay.

"I've been to Dylans in Menai Bridge and always enjoyed it not this time. For the first half of our visit there was a stinging blue haze hanging in the air; the kitchen extractors clearly weren't functioning properly. Fortunately this cleared for the second hour we were there. Now to the service; after taking our drinks orders we waited nearly 15 minutes for them. Later, after staff had passed our empty glasses 20 times, we managed to order some second drinks by catching their attention. The food was the main problem; minuscule starters of crab and Welsh rarebit. My pizza came as a real surprise (as others have mentioned in previous reviews); gone is the thin crusted, well filled pizza of the past. The pizza is now about 20% smaller and my daughter mentioned that it looked like a child's portion. However, the main problem was the total lack of filling; there was a huge gap for at least an inch all round the pizza which was just fluffy dough. There were five tiny mussels on it and when I picked the mussel shells up they were so overcooked the shells turned to carbonised dust. I counted three tiny slices of red chilli. As others have mentioned, I realise the industry is having a hard time the price of the pizzas haven't gone up but the quantity and quality has plummeted and I would rather pay more to enjoy my meal. The pudding order came and was wrong. When the hot cross bun pudding came out it was still only on the wrong side of lukewarm. Don't get me started on the price of a pint of Aspalls £7.25, a price I would expect to pay in London. And before Lisa R replies that they would have replaced a dish, it would have been replaced with a similar disappointing dish....and no one bothered to ask us if everything was OK either during or after the meal anyway."
