"Had a first class carvery today for a party of six. Friendly and efficient service and very comfortable surroundings. This isn’t a huge room so the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, unlike some that are overcrowded and noisy. The carvery was absolutely delicious with a good selection of meats and vegetables, piping hot and beautifully cooked. Although we really didn’t have room, a few of us squeezed a sweet which was equally tasty and very well presented. This is a real must visit eatery and we shall certainly return on a week night too. A huge car park adds to the total ease of eating here. Very impressed."

Oh, my God, what a little Jewel of a place this pub has become. we had a fantastic 3-course menu today served immediately, delicious and very good value for money thanks to xx that this pub back to life xx

Four people ate from the classics menu....2 courses....including drinks from the bar, a bottle of wine and all having a sauce with the steak....£99....terrific value, excellent service and the food was lovely. Will be definitely be going back!

Thoroughly enjoyed the carvery today. Couldn't decide between Turkey, Gammon and Beef so was offered a small amount of each! Great service, great food, clean restaurant. Would definitely recommend. Well done The Stag for turning things around we will be back

If I could of given more stars I would! The food is fantastic the staff are so friendly and welcoming! Got a feeling we have found a new regular for us now! Very reasonably price if not cheap considering the amazing quality. 2 and 3 course deal you can't go wrong with all of the normal included.

I went this week with a group of friends there, my first time and I was pleasantly surprised, I didn't know that meals were served there. eating was really great, I had a steak and it was perfectly cooked. I loved the veggie anti-loss star. the personal was professional, friendly and very helpful and the room warm and welcoming. I'll be back!
