It was early afternoon so nobody else in there but it was a nice enough place.

Very nice pub and friendly staff. Lovely food however the bedroom decor and bed needed modernisation

Came in after a long hike for some well earned refreshments, staff were great, they have their own beers on tap a respectable whisky selection. Can't recommend enough. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value

This is a fantastic place to stay, grab a quick bite, or have some drinks. I had an amazing burger and got to try some local beers. The rooms, service, and location all receive a perfect score of 5. Highlights of this hotel include its peaceful atmosphere and excellent value.

Wow! I am still in disbelief about my experience at this restaurant. Starting with a pint of Rauchbier, followed by Dickies Dunkel Green Bullet, and finishing with two delicious and generously sized meals, all at a reasonable price. Rooms: The rooms are clean and comfortable with a few very minor problems associated with very old buildings ie creaky floors and slightly temperamental plumbing Nearby activities: Fantastic scenery right on the doorstep and easy access to lots of places like Wastwater lake and Scafell Pike Food drinks: The food served is lovely (even for us vegetarians and vegans) with plenty to choose from. The breakfasts are great and just what you need to start your day Noteworthy details: The owners and staff all go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay and they constantly strive to make things easy for their guests

Great beer, delicious food, and adorable dogs galore! Located in one of the most stunning parts of England, this inn also boasts its own brewery. My boyfriend was over the moon when he found out about this place. We spent four days here, and it was the highlight of our two-week trip. The owners are incredibly kind, and everyone made us feel right at home. I was torn between giving them 4 or 5 stars because the food was somewhat lacking at times. However, on a busy bank holiday Sunday when all other options had run out of food, the kitchen at the Strands Inn came to our rescue with a hearty roast dinner. So, definitely a deserving 5 stars.

King Charles Coronation Weekend .... The Strands and the Screes are Classic Lakeland inns, set in the Spectacular Wasdale Valley, in the pretty little Hamlet of Nether Wasdale... They're only a Short walk from the Stunning Scenery of Wastwater and its Famous Screes, there is a Beautiful Woodland walk to the Lake shore... The Strands serves Delicious Food... I recommend the Steak Strands ale pie, The inn ,Produces it's own Fabulous Beers, in the Micro Brewery... Many Different Beers are made.... I would Highly Recommend Making Dinner Reservation, as they get Extremely Busy at peak periods.... Bank Holidays, etc this will avoid being Disappointed...
