"The reviews for this restaurant are accurate! The food was pretty good - my wife loved her Thai dish and I had half a tandoori chicken, which was surprisingly small. The starters, ravioli and wrapped prawns, were delicious. However, there are a few criticisms: the ambience was lacking, as it felt more like a hotel breakfast room than a restaurant; the prices for drinks, like a 250ml wine for £6.20, were excessive; and the coffee was not great."

Food was good with an incredible range! Service was diligent whilst never making us feel uncomfortable or not private. Quiet on a week night, maybe even better on weekend.

Tasty food and good service. The ambience could be improved by an overhaul. It has a hotel dining room feel. The location is very pleasant and we felt as if we were on a weekend away, rather than a few minutes walk from home.

The food at Annora was absolutely fantastic! The restaurant was bustling with customers, which added to the lively atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place. We sampled dishes from both the Thai and English menus and they were all superb! Visualizza piatti

We had a very pleasant lunch Saturday at The Tree at Iffley. We were taking a break and didn't have time for more than a main course, but our South Indian lamb was full of authentic flavours. Everything even the pappadoms tasted better than average and was very nice and fresh.

Annora is a great discovery in this area of Oxford. They offer a mix of Indian, Thai, and Continental cuisine in the restaurant, with a classic British pub located next door. The service was excellent throughout the meal, although there was a slight delay in receiving the bill. I will definitely be coming back.

Had a lovely meal at Annora, Oxford, the waiters were very attentive without being overbearing and ready to give advise. We all spent far too long trying to chose our meal as there is a wide range of choice. The desserts could be a little bigger but i do have a sweet tooth. A very enjoyable start to the christmas festivities. Visualizza piatti

The resteraunt is a tucked away in the attractive village of Iffley which is just on the edge of Oxford. Annora has its own car park so parking was easy. It was a delightful experience, the food and ambiance was excellent the staff were helpful and yet unobtrusive, we were so impressed that we booked our Christmas gathering there in December.

The Annora Restaurant at the Tree Hotel is situated in a residential area of Iffley, a few miles away from the center of Oxford. When we visited on a Friday evening, the restaurant was empty. We were told that all the tables would be filled by 8pm, but it still seemed quite quiet. However, the food was truly outstanding. The Indian and Thai dishes, as well as the steak, were all of a very high quality. I would definitely dine there again.

"I've been going to Oxford for 3 years now and in that time to be frank struggled to find a decent go to restaurant. I can now say with delight i've found my destination. I present SPICED ROOTS a little caribbean culinary gem. The fresh perfectly cooked food is absolutely delicious and gives off that home cooked by mummy vibe and is beautifully presented. The chilli and garlic prawns had my eyes closed Mark Weins style (if you know you know) so juicy with an incredible depth of flavour, the Trini doubles not only were seasoned to perfection they left you wanting more and the Jerk chicken spring rolls were an absolute triumph. For mains we had the ackee and callaloo Jerk Tempah (vegetarian) and the Jerk chicken. Both came with rice peas, plaintain and salad. Not only were the portions huge the flavours of both dishes were just mind blowingly delicious. Then we embarked on dessert and had the beautiful spiced rum cake and a selection of 3 home made ice creams namely Coconut, Guinness and the old Caribbean favourite Rum and Raisin, all recommended by the owner. It's at this point I feel compelled to speak about the rum raisin ice cream. I've eaten this ice cream on numerous occasions at numerous locations in Jamaica over my many years and I tell you no word of a lie this was hands down the best rum and raisin ice cream I've ever tasted, it literally left us speechless. So to summarise, this place has great food, great music, great service and a wonderfully charming owner who's totally invested in serving great, incredibly tasty, authentic Caribbean food clearly prepared with love. What more could you ask for. Fair to say it was meant to be. Uncle Jay."
