"Parents came over for a visit. We visited The Vine Inn three times. Mum and dad loved the value for money offer two dine for £10. The said the pub reminded them of the TV series Heart beat, with its views over looking the green. How the locals are so friendly and helpful. The last night before mum and dad had to return home we went for our evening farewell meal. Dad and I had the homemade steak and ale pie with redwine gravy. My dad said it 's the best he has ever had and then some. The pastry was devine, no soggy bottoms here! It was packed with succulent tender beef. Well done to the chef 's, bar staff and manger. Keep going as you are. Steve and I will continue to visit and make it our local. Top place, top people."

Really good food and friendly service. Good prices too and the vine burger is amazing. Just wish I'd had space for dessert too.

Quirky small beer garden out the back which is sheltered from the wind, nice to sit out when it’s sunny but windy! Reasonable food menu and good value.

We cannot recommend this pub too much. We ate there 4 times on holiday. All meals absolutely excellent including fantastic frying dinner. Visit the booking on a Sunday. We were very welcome. Very dog friendly too. Thank you all

The destiny inn yesterday for lunch with my wife and two friends during our short break from the mainland. What can I say... Food is excellent, service is impeccable and the pub itself is great but still cozy. We will definitely return when we come back for a break. Top brands! Get up!

Stopped in for lunch on two occasions during the week. Magnificent homemade steak and ale pie, liver and bacon and a sumptuous garlic chicken and chorizo tagliatelle. Homemade biscoff and Nutella cheesecakes wonderful too. Service was good, but I would suggest booking for evenings as gets very busy then. Couldn't fault a thing, came away, stuffed and content.

A good mix of locals and holiday makers. Very friendly and happy to share local tips and tricks. We ate on the first night and my God the portion size was plenty. Good selection of food for a fair price. The roast dinners looked and smelled amazing. Fair selection of drinks championing local breweries and distilleries. We'll be visiting daily for the remainder of our visit.

Great pub with a beautiful atmosphere and a good selection of dishes and drinks. The food was really nice and huge portions. The staff was great and friendly and the food came pretty fast. In any case worth a visit. Knowledge that there is also a hidden garden out there. A second time came back today and was even better than before. The Weinburger was amazing when you have a great appetite.

August 2021. My wife and I had a very pleasant evening meal, the staff were very welcoming and attentive, minimal, but adequately encoding precautions were used. An extensive bar also has real Ale. The menu had the usual food available and there was a special board (often changed) with more specialized meals, such as the desert menu.... Our food was quickly served and hot pierced. A very nice, comfortable pub/restaurant we recommend you..

Really good walk in Sunday afternoon meal for two. We 're locals from Bembridge but not been to the Vine since lock down and the change of owners. Menu is really varied and great value for money. Atmosphere really nice and staff really friendly. A word to the wise don 't have the special board brie wedges (enormous and delicious) and then expect to do justice to the house burger The Vine Burger the meal was huge! But really delicious We will be visiting again!

"After being recommended vigour by an friend, I popped in for lunch. On arrival, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who made me feel welcome. Going through the extensive menu full of delicious delights and delicacies, I opted for shredded pork tortillas and pork bao bao for starters, and steak (medium rare and eggs (soft poached. For mains with a refreshing cola with ice, and a creamy coffee for after. The atmosphere in there is really quite nice. The rustic vibe, of exposed bricks, rot iron fixtures and neon signs gave it plenty of character. While the ability to see into the kitchen gave you a good sense of connection to where the action truly takes place. Their shredded pork tortillas came as a trio with a lovely dip. Being a starter, they were small but flavorful. The bao bao which i can only describe as tortillas but in a softer and thicker wrap with a slightly sweet note to them were lovely, and made for a pleasant new experience. They were quite accommodating when I asked for peppercorn sauce for my steak, and managed to do a flat ironed steak to perfect medium rare. With creamy yolk gently glazing it, every mouthful was a joy. I will also note their coffee was particularly creamy and frothy which I really liked. Now, the one potential down side for some is the prices. While the food I had was lovely, and I don't at all regret going. I will say it's not somewhere you go to eat on a tight budget. You pay for the atmosphere, and the food quality is above many typical cookie cutter restaurants. My meal came to just over £34 drinks included, and while I can't make it a regular, I surely will be making it a spot my son and I go to treat ourselves. I will say that if I had my son with me at the time, I could have split the starters and just added chips to the mains to feed both of us quite happily for not much more. Should you be in a position to go regularly, take advantage of their loyalty scheme and get some tasty perks."
