"we've been driving for years with our dogs to the cradle bridge. we now have a new pup and have booked the outside space for eating at weeks. the personal has the feeling to be so welcome from the phone call. we come there...and the table is reserved with comfortable chairs and above all the heating is for us! the personal is amazing and so friendly. eating is fantastic, everything to home cooked hot eating. can't fail. the location is particularly amazing in the summer outside. recommend a visit if they have not been there! Dogs welcome with water in a bowl placed on our table, as well as before we came there! what a fantastic service!"

Great pub serving an excellent variety of real ale and cider, plus a few traditional cobs and pork pies. Opening hours are restricted early-week, so check before travelling. It's conveniently close to Alvechurch station, which is in the line connecting to Bournville (for stirchley high st) and Birmingham New Street. Parking: Park at the marina for free.
