"had previously called up to book table for two, they said they wernt sure if one was available they went to check and came back and said it wasnt, they were fully booked, I managed to just get a place for one. When i arrived there were two large tables and a smaller table that remained empty for the hour i was eating, i did ask what the situation was and was told they cancelled; on leaving I spoke to the guy waiting on and basically said I dont think 3 tables would have cancelled. I went onto say that I think the excuse of saying initially when I booked was them hoping on walk in customers. i told him I wasnt happy and that a table for two could have been booked, he was flippant in his answer which led me to say I wouldnt be back and then followed a few insulting word from the waiter. Moral for this place is dont book, it means nothing ! best still dont go, i dont and neither do the people Ive told, minor mistakes you can put up with but staff arguing back, its a NO NO,"

Visited on steak night which I believe is first Friday of month 2 steaks (rump) with a bottle of wine (which retails around £17.00) according to wine list for £40.00. Fab food and service.

We came to Disley for lunch after visiting Lyme Park on a rainy Saturday and finding the gluten-free options for lunch were limited. The White Horse Pub was light and clean and offered gluten-free options. I had an amazing vegetable lasagne with a delicious salad and my husband had gammon and chips. Really good find. Great staff. Nice walk to a great pub, takes about 30mins to walk from High Lane. We both had the Chilli with half rice half chips which was lovely throughly enjoyed. Compliments to the chef. The staff were really nice and obviously do a great job. It was lovely to go to a pub and be able to hear each other speak and actually see each other.Well done to the whole team.

We have visited The White Horse, Disley on a number of occasions and each time have had an enjoyable experience. Free wi fi, car park at rear and nice ambiance. The food is delicious and we’ll portioned. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. There is an adequate selection of food and drink. A word of warning is if you’re a fussy eater (like my Wife). Their Sunday menu is a reduced selection to their regular one, which is fair enough.

This is the first time I have visited The White Horse. The service by the person serving behind the bar was exceptional as was the waiter. I am sorry I didn’t think of asking their names to give them a mention. We went to the pub at 17:15 for a Sunday roast. The wine I chose first was not quite how I was expecting it to taste, I would have drank it but the bar server insisted I tried a couple of others. I went with the Sicilian which she recommended and was a lovely light wine. The waiter was friendly, chatty and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious. A real hearty portion. From start to finish an excellent experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all your team. Fanta... Visualizza piatti

The white horse disley has a wonderful, clean, tidy, happy pub environment and atmosphere. The staff are polite and kind. Food is absolutely fantastic trust me you are going to be well fed and it is priced at a very reasonable price too. The pub has a decent variety of tap, keg beers as well as guest ales. Plus the favourite lagers. Moretti is superbly served here. They also stock a wide variety of gins and other pub favourites. Amy the landlady has taken this establishment from strength to strength, and it reflects on the stuff because they are happy and kind as well. Just goes to show, happy landlady, happy staff. Ben and Matthew served us today. Very knowledgeable of the menu and specials...

The White Horse is situated just off Fountain Square in the centre of Disley. There is a car park to the rear of the pub with ample spaces. The pub has recently been refurbished and has a more modern look not reflecting the age of this establishment. There were cask ales on offer but the choice was limited because it's a Robinson's pub. The menu was varied with the emphasis on traditional English food. The food was of a high standard and the service from the guy working front of house was excellent. This is the only place I have been asked, after the “ is everything ok with your food”, if I would like more gravy. There were buttons on every table which could be pressed to bring over the serv...

"I’ve never been before, we came yesterday for family dinner looking forward to a roast lunch dinner. The menu only had a choice of lamb or beef, not liking beef the choice for me was lamb. Within minutes a lady came to advise the lamb “had just sold out” I said I didn’t like beef but no other option was given and I therefore had to have the beef. The meal arrived the Yorkshire’s were not risen and burned. The vegetables were very nice the beef was shaped like a block mine was dry and over cooked. My husband had poured gravy all over his so he couldn’t tell but I don’t like a lot of gravy on my food and I could tell I gave my beef to him. We ordered a burger/cheese/bacon meal for our 12 year old, I made it really clear to the young girl to plead only out cheese/bacon/burger on and no healthy stuff no onions nothing she laughed and said she has a brother who is the same so understands we ordered the adult version as it said the children’s was for 10 years and under. My sons burger arrived with a load of crispy onions lettuce and tomatoes everything we had asked NOT to be added, I took the food off but he wouldn’t touch it having seen the salad was on it! After eating my main it was a massive disappointment to see the man behind us being served a roast lamb dinner when I was told it had all sold out!!!! I had ordered fruit crumble this was a massive portion in a bowl the crumble topping was nice but the fruit underneath tasted like melted jam rather than just gently cooked fresh fruit there was more fruit sauce than fruit making it quite sloppy I had a couple of mouthfuls and left it."
