"The Windmill Tavern is a precious gem. My wife took me there yesterday for Sunday lunch to mark my birthday. It was the best Sunday lunch I have ever had out without a doubt! We started with a sharing plate of crispy whitebait and excellent Tartare sauce. This had to be followed by the roast beef and all the trimmings. The topside was superb, perfectly cooked and succulent. There was attention to detail with everything on the plate. The carrots were plentiful and tasty were just right as were the broccoli and cauliflower. The roast potatoes were crisp on the outside and fluffy within and the Yorkshire pudding was great both in flavour and texture. The wine we chose was top of the range. And the service was impeccably friendly. All in all I had the best birthday outing for a very long time. Thank you."

Fabulous garden! Went to see a friend's band playing here and very pleasantly surprised to be viewing and drinking in a beautiful garden. Doom bar on draught to, which is never a bad thing

I went with the family for an anniversary occasion. The garden is huge with beautiful flowers and lead into windmill hill with its tennis courts and bowling green. The tavern itself looks rustic. Seating area is very comfortable. Well worth a visit.

what a pub! I visited this week for the first time and honestly I had never pub food so good! the service was amazing, everyone is friendly and attentive. the pub is well presented and the garden is amazing, will surely spend a lot of my summer evenings there! eating is unbelievable, large portion sizes and well presented. we look forward to a visit soon!

A farewell to a friend of our daughters was the occasion. The garden area is laid out with benches, tables surrounded by Roses of all colours, plenty of other flowers, giving a summery atmosphere as all present , chatted, drank and the dad's/ uncles played with the children who clearly enjoyed the location. Prices as expected. Parking is not so easy. A pleasant experience.
