With stunning garden and great food, this place is huge with Hayter rocks accessible at it's doorstep.

We took a break during our bike ride and enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea here. It was truly wonderful, and the service was excellent.

In our opinion, the chef deserves a raise, while the waitstaff could benefit from a new manager. A little more improvement in service would transform this into a fantastic restaurant.

Our waiter, Jack T, was outstanding! The service he provided was excellent, and he was such a delightful person to interact with. It was a significant improvement compared to the service we've received on previous visits. Great job, Jack, and thank you!

Visited this morning for breakfast ready for a walk on the moor. Covid secure. I would highly recommend the food. Staff prepared to cater for my sons dietary needs and were prepared to offer extra sausage bacon in place of things he can’t eat. Good value for money.

I had a wonderful dining experience with excellent food at great prices. The staff was extremely helpful and provided outstanding service in a very clean environment. I visited again for a birthday dinner, and once again, the food and service were amazing. I highly recommend trying this place!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly helpful, especially since one member of our party is a vegan. We enjoyed all three courses for lunch, which, after a windy walk, turned out to be a lovely experience. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and the staff were friendly, frequently checking in on us. We will definitely eat here again when we are in Dartmoor!

Generally excellent eating, personal very friendly, but not as attentive as they hope in considering how many of them are milling around. tables near bar area are very loud and in a kind of thorough operation that is not ideal. my sonny chicken strips were openly indelible. he only complained after eating a couple and I tried them and can't believe he was eating. the rest of the meal was excellent, fish perfectly cooked and steak in steak baguette was tender and exactly what they want.

We had a disappointing experience at the restaurant on my wife's birthday. Although we asked for white bread, we were given brown instead. We also specifically requested no peas, but they still appeared on our plates. When we asked for more drinks, the waitress vanished and never returned. Our daughter asked for ketchup, which never arrived. The waitress dropped my knife and promised to bring a new one, but that never happened either. In the end, we decided to forego dessert and gave up on trying to get another drink. While the food was acceptable, the service was appalling. It's a shame, as it's just down the road from where we live.
