"I have been determined to get into Next Door for as long as the restaurant has been open! However on so many occasions it was not possible until the other week when we (myself and the girlfriend) with the facility of attending a birthday party. As I entered I found myself looking at a fabulous rural bijou place with olde worlde charm dripping from every corner of the restaurant. Now that's the decor discussed so on with the food and drink that was on offer and this was I promise you exquisite. I had a couple of beers that I have not sampled before to begin with and they were very nice. Then this was followed by some delicious red wine . Now I don't normally drink red wine but decided to on this occasion. Moving on to the food. Now it was a taster menu and every dish albeit small was quite stunning to behold and quite delicious. Augmenting that was a good informative description of each dish that was brought to our table. I must also add that they were quite filling as well. In sum an excellent meal in every respect and I cannot wait to go back."

"the staff was very helpful, and eating was a good value and filling. the only thing that gave it up was the loud music. We asked twice for it to be rejected, as well as another couple, but it still remained loud, not good if you want to talk. beautiful background music is not a problem, but not the art and the volume that was played. otherwise, eat and drink nicely."

"This is the best Indian I’ve ever tasted. The food is cooked fresh to order. It’s not swimming in oil/grease like many are, and it tastes amazing. So much flavour to it. I can’t recommend highly enough. Be prepared to wait between courses, which is worth the wait, but remember it’s being cooked to order, not just heated in a microwave Service: Dine in"

"This restaurant changed its name to Grill31 earlier this year (same owners) and changed its focus to being a grill restaurant specialising in quality steaks. We went here for a family meal of 4 adults. We had the starter sharing platter for 4 which was excellent followed by various steaks each and we can safely say these were some of the best steaks that we had all had in a long time. There is nowhere else in the area that specialises in steaks so this was a really pleasant change to other local restaurants and a great idea by the owners to look for a gap in the local market. The service was excellent and whilst steaks are the cheapest items in the menu these were excellent value for money. The service was excellent and the choice of guest beers from the downstairs pub fantastic too. Would highly recommend this restaurant and we’ll definitely be returning."

"Cannot write a proper review because after calling in to the travellers rest today about 1pm for some lunch, we found the place closed after passing a number of times this year when ther appeared to be plenty of custom mid afternoon. We did not notice any notice of the situation after taking the trouble to travel there. Not very impressed with the lack of communication for the benefit of passing trade. We have decided not to try anymore times just to be met with this situation again."
