Food was good, but when it rains outside the staff smokes inside (see photo as proof) which is completely unacceptable in this day and year

Best meal in Vienna. Amazing black risotto, sole on the grill and spicy shrimp. Waiters extremely nice and attentive. I will definitely come back.

Vienna is a long way from the sea. This place sells fish flown in from France, bought from market stalls right next to it. We had a good dinner, with attentive service. Visualizza piatti

We've been here a couple of times. There's always a bit of drama LOL. Very popular and busy and the staff get a bit edgy sometimes LOL... Love 'em. Good food, not quite as posh & classy as opposite but more character. Waiting staff are nice really and very helpul and friendly.

Being Portuguese I know my fish and seafood. I was surprised by the freshness of the dishes I ordered, quite good! The fried squid heads were fried well, crispy and not overcooked. The clams were also perfectly cooked and fresh...the only problem was that they weren't perfectly clean - still some sand on them!

Who knew that a land-locked country would have such great fish markets? :) This whole area was a nice surprise, and Umar was a delightful stop for fresh seafood, wine, and people watching. We had poke, crudo, octopus, calamari, and black seafood risotto and all were delicious. We were looking around at naschtmakt of where to have a proper dinner. We decided on Umar Fisch since it was one of the two that were quite crowded. We order grilled seabream, sea bass and gurnard... 400 to 600 gm per fish. The fish was tender and moist and very fresh and just lightly seasoned. The potato and spinach side dish was a nice surprise. I ordered risotto with wild river prawn. The prawn was fresh and the risotto was ok. The grilled calamari was also soft and tender and in quite a huge quantity. We could not order dessert as the mains were filling!!

Beening just a stand on market it is briliant even yet expensive. Service friendly, quick, responsive. educated. Very good oysters, excellent scallops, shrimps good but boring. Raw starters very nice, wouldn´t do butterfish again. Mussels nice but sauce needed seasoning. Pasta for kids with squid excellent. Monkfish top fish, side dish to be forgotten. Turbot with butter, truffle and gnocchi best fish plate I had in long long time. Fish perfectly cooked, seasong just great and dose of truffle well balanced (even not been fun of truffle in general at all). Owner showed up over dinner, short polite chat, all went well. Realy nice evening with loads of fish and seafood. Regarding it costs same...

We needed an early meal and therefore booked 11:00 am on the online platform. The platform said booking was not automatic but they would check availability and send a text to confirm. They did indeed, twice. When we showed up at 11, they said the restaurant does not open for another 30 minutes. First they claimed the online system is automatic and made a mistake, but then I saw that someone actually wrote my name and the time 11:00 in their booking records by hand. So they clearly made a mistake. At this point, they could have apologised, offered us a drink and a seat while we wait for the kitchen to open.
