"Commercial, I was looking for this noon at random a restaurant in the pretty town of Dambach. I was varnished by discovering this exquisite restaurant in all points: pleasant reception of Claire, a very typical and charming place with beautiful wooden beams and delicious cuisine. I'll come back for sure."

"Andlau is an exceptionally lovely town and Le Boeuf Rouge is a fittingly pretty restaurant. It was very welcoming and the staff kind and friendly. We were happy with our meals. Two of us started with the foie gras. It came with plenty of toasted brioche, and cubes of a wonderful gelée, which tasted of Christmas ham. Delicious. The other two had the smoked salmon plate. We expected the usual bright pink slivers of fish, but what arrived were two sizeable tranches that were cleared smoked in house. It was extremely flavoursome, a little salty and well smoked. It came with an excellent lemongrass crème, almost the consistency of chantilly. The mains were the choucroute garni (an enormous plate with sauerkraut, potatoes and various pork meats), veal cordon bleus (obviously homemade and huge) and the ribs (falling off the broken and lovely). The only slight let down was desert. We had crème brûlée. The custard was a good consistency, a little firm perhaps, and had a good vanilla flavour. However, the brûlée was not well executed as the sugar was still quite grainy in places it needed a longer firing. Overall, though, I would happily recommend this restaurant for a pleasant meal."

"Les plats sont bons, mais nous avons été refroidi par le temps d'attente. Nous sommes arrivés au restaurant à 18 H 20 et la serveuse nous a dit devoir patienter un peu. Il y avait un autre couple qui était déjà présent lorsque nous sommes arrivés. Un peu plus tard, un troisième couple accompagné d'un garçon est venu. Ce couple a été servi après une vingtaine de minutes alors que les gens déjà en place et nous même n'étions toujours pas servis. Nous avons dû attendre 1 H 20 avant de voir nos plats arriver, et bizarrement ce sont les adultes qui ont été servis en premier et seulement après nos 2 enfants. Dommage, car les plats étaient bons mais cela manqué sérieusement d'organisation."

"We have just spent a few days at the arnold hotel where we had already arrived in October ... everything is impeccable, while some dishes of their truffle, their restaurant, are absolutely disappointing and far too expensive ... my wife had taken a torched pie at the munster and ham; the dough was very good, however, it was necessary to take a magnifying glass to find the ham ... the day after, it had taken a truffle the worst risotto ever eat. ; accompanied by two slices of hard bread. a pity that such a hotel agrees to serve in its restaurant such dishes. the setting of the restaurant is very pleasant, but unfortunately it is not enough .. there are some other good small restaurants near the hotel, so if the quality of the winstub does not improve, the choice of another restaurant will impose without hesitation ..."
