"Wir waren zu 5 hier. Das Essen war gut und hat allen geschmeckt. Ich habe ein empfohlenes Getränk auf Gin-Basis bestellt, dass ich nicht trinken konnte, da es sehr parfumiert schmeckte.. wie ein Räucherstäbchen. Ich bin mit dem so gut wie vollen Drink rein und fragte freundlich,ob ich ihn tauschen könnte, weil ich ihn nicht trinken kann (das mache ich sonst NIE!) Die Dame sagte ja okay und ich hatte ein schlechtes Gewissen, war sehr dankbar und bestellte einen Aperol Spritz. Als die Rechnung kam erklärte mir dann ihre Kollegin, dass die Chefin kam und sagte wenn er mir nicht geschmeckt hat muss ich ihn trotzdem bezahlen und den Aperol zusätzlich. Ich erklärte nochmal dass ich extra gefragt habe ob ich ihn TAUSCHEN kann, und dies bejaht wurde. Wollte sie nicht hören und berechnete mir 5,50 Euro zusätzlich. Dafür gabs dann kein Trinkgeld. Service ist für mich was anderes. Komme nicht wieder her obwohl der Abend ansonsten okay war. Ich bin sicher der polnische Bekannte der polnoschen Kellnerin musste sein Bier dafür nicht bezahlen und ich musste mir dazu sein Gefluche am Telefon alle zwei Wörter anhören.. Espresso-Parfait war aus, kann ich nichts sagen."

"Seit vielen Jahren besuche ich Helgoland. Und bei jedem Besuch steht auch je nach Dauer meines Aufenthaltes (mindestens!) ein leckeres Abendessen in den Mocca Stuben auf dem Programm. Empfohlen wird das im Oberland gelegene Restaurant von den Einheimischen, die dort auch ihre Familienfeste feiern - für mich ein klares Indiz für gute Küche zu einem fairen Preis. Ob Fischgerichte oder Fleisch auf dem Teller, ob mittags oder abends - ich bin hier noch NIE enttäuscht worden. Für mich sind die Mocca Stuben die perfeke Symbiose aus hervorragender Inselküche, ansprechendem Ambiente und prima Service - ein Restaurant zum Wohlfühlen, bei dem alles stimmig ist."

"We had reserved, but were prevented from picking up a table from the reserved ones. The young, blonde, little waitress Pagenschnitt was right there. Yes, the tables are reserved in front of the restaurant, but we would like to get in the hall. But we would like to sit at a table in the sun, please sit in the hallway. If we hadn't had the island voucher, we would have left. Then wait 1 hour for dinner. Fish plate: Three pieces of fish, a few small potatoes, a little green. Further Fauxpas : After several Cola we wanted to have a new glass for my son and put the old glass to clear the empty plates. We'd like a clean glass. That's your glass, she says, and I'll give my son the old glass back. Suddenly a sniff. Hm, she says and goes towards the kitchen. If she washes all the glasses herself? As far as the reserved tables are concerned, the preserved ones stayed. Apparently the lady wanted to save the way around the house. Conclusion: No more. hospitality looks different. A fish plate, too."

"Wir sind kurz entschlossen vor der Abfahrt hier noch essen gegangen und würden nicht enttäuscht. Frische Zutaten, große Auswahl. Der Pizza Teig war jedoch wenig Italienisch, hatte mehr von Flammbrot - aber trotzdem lecker! Einzige Minuspunkt - daher keine fünf Sterne - war das chili auf den Pizzen der Kinder. Die Shrimps wurden mit Chili-Öl beträufelt, obwohl die Kinder sie bestellt hatten - hier hätte ich mir etwas Voraussicht gewünscht."

"Most of them see an ice cream parlour at Flamingo. But in fact, it is a bistro and is by far one of the warmest and best restaurants that can be found on the square kilometers of Helgolands. The food is great from A to Z, freshly prepared and served with love. The portions are top-class and the price-performance ratio is almost perfect. The service is also very friendly, attentive and yet fast and speditive in the most beautiful hectic. When you call to reserve a table, you will not be demolished, but you will reserve it correctly. And that's something you can't say from any place on the island. The Flamingo near the elevator is a real secret tip!!"
