"En aval des moulins à papier qui ont fait la réputation de cette bourgade, et bordant le même cours d'eau, le restaurant Au fil de l'eau offre un cadre original, avec une salle dont les larges baies s'ouvrent au-dessus de la rivière ; celle-ci baigne la terrasse du restaurant, située en contrebas et très prisée aux beaux jours...Quel que soit le menu ou le plat choisi, une copieuse mise en bouche (ce jour-là une tranche de melon accompagnée d'une délicieuse coppa) vous aiguise l'appétit. Le menu du jour offre un très bon rapport qualité-prix ; puis plusieurs formules permettent de combiner les spécialités gastronomiques. Service très attentif et bienveillant. A noter : afin de préserver la qualité de ce service et de ne pas augmenter abusivement les temps d'attente le restaurant limite l'accueil en cas d'affluence. Pensez donc à réserver !"

From the entrance to the dessert a feast. A finesse, a mixture of exceptional flavors and a very good dosage of quantities per dish. I highly recommend.

We admit to being foodies so if you visit this superb restaurant you will be pleasantly surprised. Everything-food,service and setting is first class. We recommend the oysters, the lamb shanks with interesting spices and dauphinoise, the tarte tatin, all faultless. Staff very helpful and friendly and anticipate your wishes! We are returning on the last day of our holiday as its been the best of all our fine dining and despite our champagne aperetif, good wine,coffee and 2 lots of amuse bouche it was €40 per head. Pour un diner "en amoureux", nous avons -enfin- pu nous rendre dans ce restaurant. Il est conseillé de réserver. Nous avons pris le menu à 35 euros, et nous n'avons pas été déçus, notamment par le plat principal : une souris d'agneau et des gambas excellentes. La carte propose des plats traditionnels (omelette aux cèpes, tarte tatin, salade périgourdine...) mais tout de même revisités avec goût.Le service est très bien :nickel et sympathique. Victime de son succès, la salle est peut-être trop petite, ce qui entraîne un peu trop de bruit et des tables plutôt rapprochées.

What a good experience this restaurant. I was on vacation around the corner and at 9:30 we went in front of this one. The chef was out there and we asked him if the restaurant was still taking people at that time and he invited us in and there was no problem. We were placed on the terrace by the water and there was a little electrical concern, there was no functional light, result, the staff put small candles on our table to level this problem. A good candle dinner So my pictures are a little dark... The menu is quite simple with 3 or 4 entries, dishes and desserts, there is also a menu. Everything was very good!! In drink there is of course a good wine map but I was tempted by a love apple...

"We first visited this restaurant over a year ago, and the food was pretty awful. We both ordered a salad, which was mostly oil, and the service was slow, so we did not return that year.We returned this year, as they had added pizza to the menu and we wanted to try it out again. We had our two dogs with us and it was very hot out, despite being 7 pm. When we first arrived at 6:30 we asked if we could sit outside with the (very quiet) dogs, and were told we could, only for the waitress to then tell us that nothing would be served until 7, so off we went. When we returned, we were not allowed to sit at the table we chose, in the shade, due to having dogs with us. To be honest, we should have left at this point, but were tired, hot and hungry. The waitress seated us at one of the only tables that was in bright sunlight at the edge, despite only two of the 30 tables being taken. We assumed it would get very busy, but it never did. Thus we were sat in the blistering sun for over an hour, even though all the tables in the shade remained empty.The service was once again slow, although the pizzas were much better than the salads from the previous year. If a restaurant can not be bothered to even try to make customer happy but letting them order drinks a bit ahead of time or sit where they would like to sith point visiting it. Very disappoinnted."
