"We were so looking forward to trying this place out for the first time tonight Friday 10th Nov. We are very disappointed. The service was lovely. The atmosphere was great. The food was rubbish, seriously overpriced for what you get. We ordered olives and scallops for starters. The olives and bread were lovely. The scallops were slightly undercooked, a bit wet if you ask me and the linguine was too wet also. We ordered the special steak. I insisted on no fat. My steak was literally just fat. My husband’s was ok, my son and I couldn’t eat more than half. It was literally riddled with fatty tumours. Seriously disgusting. The roasted tomatoes were not roasted at all. They were just warm. I don’t know. Add a bit of olive oil and leave in the oven a little longer. The chips were fine. My husband enjoyed the chocolate mousse. My and my son’ s sticky toffee was ok but the custard is warmed up in microwave. It makes it lumpy with a thin coat on top. Not great. But most importantly the table was sticky all over. Use an actual sponge with actual soap and dry with a cloth. This is the only way it won’t be sticky! We paid £150 with no wine. We had a complimentary bottle with the steak special. We won’t go again. The food was not at all the standard it should be. Maybe it was a bad day. The place was busy but this is not for us. We like gourmet food and we thought that it was what we were going to get. If you want delicious food then this place is not the one. The manager and our waitress were lovely but that just wasn’t enough. Talk to the chef and don’t serve disgusting steak specials. Parking: We were told we had to pay for parking when we got there. That should be all over the website. So you get one hour free which means you have to leave in the middle of the meal to pay. Inconvenient for everyone. "was twice in the last weeks. for the first time on Sunday to fry and again on Saturday to the birthday of my daughter. beautiful pub and delightful that there were no last people who have beaten close together. there are also outdoor seating options both front and rear. Eating was really delicious, cooked at home and massive portions. the staff was very friendly and helpful and very sensitive to the needs of our young children. it was nice that there was background music, but nothing too loud. good value for her money. beautiful atmosphere and family friendly. will definitely go back!"

"Absolutely Gorgeous Meal, myself and my Wife went for a date night just to celebrate our personal achievements so nothing to serious, yet Wagamama has a balance, it 's classy yet fun and has a unique charm. Personally as a meat eater who enjoys certain plates, Wagamama has done the impossible and has dedicated 50% of its menu to Vegetarian/vegan options which is great as a whole as it is a massive social trend this new Environment Friendly eating Wagamama have achieved well in Keeping both parties (vegetarian and non-vegetarian eaters) but some items wear sacrificed to achieve this. Starters are great, mains are great, and deserts are also... You guessed it great!!"

"Dim sum lovely had a couple of prawn versions, though extremely hot so let them cool down a bit staff should warn customers. Tom yum soups very disappointing we had the salmon one and the prawn one. In both cases the salmon and prawn had not be seared, seasoned nor marinated, so they were just plonked in the soup plain boiled, very bland. The soup base was OK but definitely not an authentic Thai taste. Massive dining hall we were the only ones in there on a weekend."

"I did not want to write a Tripadvisor review before firstly emailing the establishment to tell them of my experience at the King and Queen in Hamble, as I wanted to give them the chance to reply etc with what may have gone wrong for us. They did not reply. We had booked for the Sunday roast and pre-ordered beforehand. My husband and I picked the tomahawk steak roast For 2 people to share. The girl placed it down on the table, after us waiting a while for it to be cooked , which was fine. There was 1 roast potato and 4 balls of stuffing (paxo type) . The girl then bought over 2 small cold side plates and I asked her to bring larger plates , she did and they were cold so I asked for them to be warm and she then came back again with warmer larger plates, which was fine. We also had to ask for roast potatoes and they came later in a bowl, not the best. We had also ordered a side of chips , they came around 20 mins later and we refused them as was by then too late. We also had to ask for our gravy to be warmed up as this was tepid. No one came to ask if the meal was ok, but it was not acceptable, far from . There was only around 20% of the meat which was edible if that. We had to spit out most into a napkin as there as too much gristle and too chewy. We were so disappointed as had been told this was a nice place for roasts and namely pre-ordering a 'special meal ' to share between two. Whoever cut the steak must have seen it was poor before it came out. My daughter also remarked later her chicken was cold but did not like to say anything as was so hungry. When the girl came to take the plates (with most of the food left) she did not ask if everything was ok which we were surprised about. We were meeting new family members for the first time and did not feel we wanted to complain but were also shocked at the lack of compassion by the staff for all the 'wrongs ' but namely the tomahawk quality, which we paid I think £68 for! Also noted there was a substantial service charge added to the bill, which we reluctantly paid but did not feel was warranted. Its hard to make a complaint, as we did not want to ruin the day with bad feeling surrounding the meal. No one asked us though how anything was, which you 'd expect when paying a lot of money. I’d have expected to hear back from the pub with an explanation and for them to offer some good will from this but have heard nothing."
