Lovely roast dinner here. The roast potatoes were nice and crispy, meat tender and tasty and decent portion of tasy veg. Grace served us and was lovely and very attentive. Will eat there again. Can recommend.

Very burnt ribs that were barely edible. When I spoke to the waitress she said that’s how they come. Portions were very small. Very slow service. Don’t have half the items on the menu many things we tried to order (mainly drinks) they said they didn’t have.

Worst breakfast ever! Food cold, poached eggs inedible. Service diabolical, one and only waitresses serving had to be searched out to take our order, pulled away from a conversation with friends to take away returned eggs. Immediately went back to her friends and ignored the kitchen’s call for service. In the end I had to collect the eggs myself! Went here today for breakfast once again service was great . Have been here about 4 time's in past couple months the staff work very hard and always friendly no matter how busy they are. On this occasion went for breakfast and again the food has always been good quality and served piping hot. They is always a excellent choice of both hot and cold food. The down side is the place internally is shabby but have just found out that this place is closing I can't believe this is going to close have used so many time's over 30 years. Great credit to the staff for keeping the high stand up in these situation

The staff we encountered were friendly and doing their best. No complaints with them at all. Unfortunately a lot of items were unavailable: No cocktails. No mocktails. No sweet potato fries. Did not have the pudding I wanted. Possibly also other missing items that we didn't ask about... The food tasted good and I would eat it again, but a shame when you can't get things that are advertised on the menu. Another unfortunate issue was that throughout the meal it sounded as if there was a very poorly person in the kitchen. Lots and I mean LOTS of horrendous coughing and choking sounds. Went in for continental breakfast this Sunday, greeted by an enthusiastic manager, It was self service and I put some toast in the toaster, there was a pile of clean plates ready for use, unfortunately I struggled to find a plate that was actually clean, they just hadn’t been washed properly, the same went for the coffee cups, my wife had a latte, which turned into a congealed mess as if the milk was off. In the bar area the carpets were badly stained, as were some of the chairs. A few of the chairs were so badly worn that the upholstery was split and the wood was poking through.
