Bistro Les Canailles

A great place. Love the atmosphere and décor. The food is quite simply exquisite. The staff are great! An absolute must for when you are in Cannes!

Food; Escargot Octapus Ravioli Quail? Or little bird Following the Michelin guide rarely steers you wrong and that is again true here they do a wonderful job with the food here. Flavours work wonderfully together in a setting that inspires romance. Would 100p go back.

Ate here on the recommendation of staff at our Hotel (Renoir) - just off the Rue D'Antibes - a cosy little restaurant / bar. Reasonably priced French / Mediterranean food which was really delicious - and the friendly staff translated the menu for us! Highly recommended

It's hard to tell from outside how pretty this place really is. It's one of those restaurants that the locals frequent, mainly because the food is consistently good. The daily specials are always yummy and the wines are also good. Haven't tried the desserts yet but they're huge and everyone always finishes them, so I think that speaks for itself.

This bistro deserves all the praise that it is receiving on Tripadvisor. We enjoyed French bistro food at its best. Our starters of the fois gras in red fruits and the egg cocotte were delicious. The main course of duck with orange and ginger was outstanding. Perfectly cooked duck, thinly sliced with a delicious jus. The cheese platter and a bottle of rose made a perfect meal. Highly recommended.

Tucked away in a street off of Rue D'Antibes, Bistro Les Canailles serves up excellent food at a reasonable price. The menu is displayed on a sandwich board brought to your table for viewing. The escargot is served in a delicious pastry shell, no bread is needed. The beef with ravioli is served with a rich sauce and a melt in your mouth slab of slowed cooked beef, excellent! Good service in a refunded setting. Highly recommended.

Some streets away from the Croisette this "bistro" is a must eat when you are in Cannes. Very friendly service and you are not looked away when you are the last table sitting on the terras. No fancy and complicated mise en plat but high standard quality food, tastes are in perfect balance, well prepared and it is the first restaurant that respects our request of the cuisson. We were so delighted we will go back tomorrow to try other dishes the chef has to offer!

A really good find in Cannes. It's a little off the beaten track but still only a 1 minute walk from rue d'Antibes, so still central. 2 very friendly (and hard working) hostesses/perhaps owners. A fairly small (and quite noisy) interior section. I guess in summer they use all the pavement space outside too. Good menu with quite a lot of Fois Gras, truffles and fish on offer. Good and well priced wine list. The fois-gras egg broth was sublime as a starter. The monkfish kebab was just a little overcooked in my opinion but the tomato and bisque sauce more than made up for that. Overall a really nice experience and will definitely be back.

Catching up with a colleague during a tradeshow she suggested this restaurant and it was a brilliant choice. Where some places in Cannes turn into places worse than fast food joints in regards to service and quality of food during these show dates, Les Canailles offered a great dining experience. Our party of four shared starters, incuding a saucisson (dried sausage) that came with its own slicing board (that endlessly fascinated the men...). Atmosphere was good, so we didn´t mind the slight wait for main courses (which I´m sure was only due to the fact that the restaurant was packed, including two groups of 10-12 persons).
