"Not too far from the beaten track but far enough to escape the madness. Really quaint building in a lovely village. Started with a caramel cappuccino as good as any costa or starbucks. We tried the Sunday menu, which isn't huge but is filled with delicious offerings. I had the turkey roast dinner, which was really tasty. The veg was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The Yorkshire pudding was crispy and full of traditional homemade gravy and the turkey was generously portioned and sitting on a bed of creamy mash and roasted potatoes. Great views accross a lovely part of South Leicestershire. My advice would be to book ahead to avoid disappointment. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks guys you knock the ball out of the park. Average pub trying to do everything. Food average and very expensive for quality. Staff are the only real redeeming feature. Ales and drinks hardly inspiring like the interior decoration. We stopped by this friendly pub during our dog walk. It's great for dogs, but not very family-friendly since there's no kids menu and the portions are adult size. The food was tasty, albeit a bit expensive, and it arrived quickly. The staff were also very friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here. Cost per person ranges from £10 to £20.
