"After striking out on the first place we were going to eat, we stumbled upon the Block House! It looked busy which is always a good sign during the middle of the week and patrons coming out said the food was great. So we tried...it and were not disappointed. We both had steak, salad and potato and all was cooked to perfection. The staff was fun and service was great. The menus is in languages which was great! We like our steaks rare and they were done to perfection. The atmosphere is cute with an open kitchen and a nice bar and outside seating. The pricing was very reasonable. If you want steak, this is your place. So go and enjoy"

Don’t miss Block house! My absolute favorite is Mr Rumpsteak. Wonderful taste! The extremely fresch sallad of vegetabile you get first is simply the best. Very good and friendly staff. Here you really fel yourself as true welcome

In view of the known repute we planned to have dinner in Block House Restaurant, Rostock. We ordered for Rumpsteak, Baked Potato and fresh salad. Truly we can claim to have eaten one of the best steak during this trip. Would like to visit again

Excellent service inspite of rush hour during Weihnachtsmarkt in Rostock! Staff is super busy, phone is ringing constantly and still deliver good service with a smile and really nice dishes! Bravo! Sat in the bar for drinks and dinner, worked really well

The chain of Block House Restaurants is justly famous for good if not excellent steaks. This was my first time in Rostock and as soon as we walked by there was no other place to consider for lunch. It’s located near the city square almost...directly across from the classic fountain in the pedestrian area. An easy stroll from many of the sights. The filet is my personal favorite item on the menu. A nice crisp salad and potatoes completes the meal

Having waited minutes after finishing my soup to receive my burger I finally lost patience and walked out. Nobody even bothered to approach me as I left. I was seated beside the cooking food prep area and I would say the steaks being...presented looked average. Sauces were prepared out of packets and many of the meals were inadvertently seasoned multiple times by the staff. Maybe I visited on a bad night. Would definitely suggest you avoid this place
