Locale carino, elegante e ben frequentato. personale accogliente e disponibile. Bagni puliti e ben tenuti. Ho mangiato una delle specialità della regione, vitello con spatzle e mi è piaciuto molto. Ottimo lo strudel finale. Prezzi nella media.

As we were back in the region, we visited Vau again. I could make a joke, but the plates are not large enough for the food, please check the Wiener Schnitzel of my friend.The red wine was excellent, light, just perfect for the summer! Enjoy the fresh asparagus and strawberries of the region

the menu of the vau’s includes various directions, from a large selection of different salads to pasta to regional cuisine and various steaks. we decided to have a soft roast, which was very delicate and extremely tasty. the homemade late zle were ok, though not as at home. but for that, the roast sauce was to put in.

you can feel comfortable in the vau. the ambiente is appealing and cozy. even better was the service by a very nice and extremely friendly service. the menu is well thought out. there is something for every taste. the portions are very large (almost too large). that could have been a little more seasoned for us. but all in all - a very nice local where we would like to go again at any time. do not trust at the entrance, we thought we were in front of a coffee, in fact the restaurant is located at the bottom of the room. personal listening, beautiful map, an irreproachable service, all explained to you. just a precision if you want to enjoy with the crudity plates, either you are very hungry and you will take the big but if you go with a small stomach instead take the small portions, I assure you that they will fill your stomach very well. Even bread is a treat.

Not so many options for lunch in Schwenningen. Thought we would try this place. Service little slow. Ordered Vau burger and a large finger food. Cooked fresh, hot, took a while. Good portions, but let down by the amount of sauce on the burger. After...scraping off the sauce there must have been half a cup of it, the burger was under seasoned and a bit bland. You could not eat it with your hands. Real shame. I saw from the review that other options could be better but I would not order the burger again. Finger food was just deep fried frozen stuff wedges, wings, mini spring rolls, mushrooms in breadcrumb served with the favoured orange/pink burger sauce, sweet chilli sauce and a white sauce,...

Recommended by Central Hotel, Café Vau in central Schwenningen is a real treat! Busy on a Saturday evening, the well-stocked bar and restaurant was buzzing with customers. We dined in the restaurant, and every aspect was excellent food, wine, service, table setting, price. We...had 'veal piccata Milanese' (regular menu) and the 'grilled monkfish with chanterelle mushroom risotto' (daily special), both delicious! 'White chocolate mousse' shared for dessert was light and a perfect ending. With glasses of red wine, Kir Royal and Weissburgunder wine (and a bottle of water), the total was Euros.
