Quickly ordered and I was surprised about the size of the serving. The tartar is very well done. I recommend this place. You will like it!

As is well known, the prices in Ticino are high and, as we have seen in other restaurants, the quality is also high. However, anyone who dines at Casa del Popolo (CH) gets the opposite of quality on their plate. after I had hunger after the lasagne, I asked if it would be possible to have half a pizza or to get the child pizza. Yeah, well, that was the answer. then the bill came. on the note that I had only ordered a small pizza (and also got) but on the bill is 29 - instead of 16 - came the answer, for adult food also the small pizza the full price. thanks for the transparent info!I hope they will invest this 13.- in a better servicewoman.

If you decide to eat in this restaurant where the service is fast what is not the case everywhere in locarno, know that the only thing to avoid is pizza. the dough is over-cooked, the almost absent and very salty filling (the romana) certainly there were anchovies, but one can pass a pizza with anchovies without giving the impression of swallowing only salt! the ice was also a disappointment even if without defect it did not look like a handmade ice. The service is efficient, friendly except when the festival-goers arrive at the same time, there it screams a bit.

Sono stata con amici a cena durante il Festival di Locarno. Ristorante in posizione centrale e comodissimo da raggiungere. I proprietari sono persone squisite, si vede che hanno alle spalle un'esperienza decennale nell'ambito della ristorazione! Personale gentilissimo. Un grazie speciale alla figlia dei proprietari che ci ha serviti al tavolo! Ragazza sveglia, orientata alla clientela, solare e simpaticissima. Durante un soggiorno cittadino nella affascinante Locarno in compagnia della mia compagna, intenzionati a voler passare una tranquilla e piacevole serata, siamo stati attratti da questo seducente ristorante a gestione familiare. Situato in una suggestiva piazzetta nel nucleo storico della citta vecchia, a due passi dalla rinomata Piazza Grande, si presenta distinto e intimo. Personale accogliente, molto gentile e professionale; servizio con tempi di attesa nella norma. Abbiamo gustato un ottima tartare e sorseggiato del buon vino. Consigliamo vivamente di passare a mangiare presso il ristorante la Casa del Popolo.

We wanted to take a look at the restaurants above the piazza and went to eat in this restaurant. From the menu: “House specialty” I didn't want to miss the hunter-style rabbit with polenta, as no other restaurant in Ticino has this on the menu anymore. Unfortunately I have to say that it was the worst rabbit that definitely came straight from the freezer with sauce. (Dry meat and soggy sauce) The polenta is definitely the finished product “Maggi Express” which wasn’t even seasoned because then it would have been great. My partner's pizza without mushrooms was good. The chef and the bosses should go over the books, but the staff was nice and tried very hard.

we were four and unfortunately had all the terrible hunger, which is why we put ourselves in the next best restaurant. someone of us ordered a green salad to the appetizer. the salat had been eaten halfway, two of the four main courses came, one rindstatar (chf 38.- !!) and one spaghetti bolognese. the bark statue looked like eating. it was clapped on a dish. no brot, no wobble. it had little taste and was probably refined with ketchup. the spaghetti were boiled and tasted as already repeatedly warmed up. the two main courses were almost completely eaten, when the other two main courses were served. a pizza prosciutto e funghi, a pizza ruccola. on the pizza funghi were bush mushrooms. also o...
