"We came here for evening meal on route to the North Yorkshire Railway Light Fantastic tour. Car parking was easy with a large carpark although bear in mind our satnav said the pub was up a no through road; in fact the pub was a little further along on the right. There is a wealth of outdoor seating available some of it sheltered should the weather be quite bad. Inside the pub is aesthetically very pleasing on the eye with a decent bar area, pool table off to the left; a large restaurant style seating area is off to the right. The staff were very welcoming showing us straight to our table, taking a drinks order and providing menus. We realised we hadn’t really left enough time to eat and make the railway tour; totally our fault. The wife had a quick word with the staff who put our food on a rush which was amazing of them. Sure enough food was served very quickly and we made the railway tour. The food itself was excellent quality, very tasty and decent portion sizes. The menu was varied and categorised nicely allowing for quick browsing. There were 2 options for vegetarians and a specials board as well. Free Wi-Fi was available with a password displayed at the bar. There is also a comfy sofa seating area just to the right of the bar. The pub is dog friendly which is a big plus for us. Based on this experience I would totally recommend a visit to this pub; I look forward to returning to try some of the other menu options. Food drinks: Great food"

"This is my favourite place to eat in Malton, I a friend regularly have takeaway drinks lunches, mainly either, soup, sandwiches, wraps, paninis or salads. All are freshly made delicious very reasonably priced. Malton has a wide variety of cafes coffee shopsto chose from but the stand out feature that draws us back to the Patisserie is not only high quality food but the friendly, efficient staff who always make us feel so welcome. Although less often, we occaisionally sit in in the cafe which provides the same first class service products. There is also a well stocked shop with a wide variety of lovely biscuits, cakes, preserves drinks which can be made into hampers. The delights of this little Malton gem are too numerous to mention."

"We love Mexican food and we were looking forward to visiting. Upon arrival the best description I can give is chaotic. Every table was dirty and the bar was stacked with dirty glasses. The guy in charge said he’d been non stop for three hours and asked us to sit at a dirty table until they cleaned the others. After about 10 minutes and a new arrival was seated before us we were guided to a table. We were close to a large table of drunk younger people who were shouting. By this time we were losing confidence in the restaurant as they did not seem to care about our experience. After a further wait and no apology or service we decided to leave and managed to get a table at a Thai restaurant around the corner where the service and food were very good. Sadly I would not return. I doubt they even noticed we had left. Would not recommend"

"Ate here last night for the Christmas party season. Hats off to the chef staff for making it a great night. Starters came camembert sticky pigs in blankets beautiful. Mains beef melt in the mouth turkey cooked to perfection. Desserts just topped everything off. Food on another level well worth the price. Staff attentive friendly smiles on their faces atmosphere fantastic. Well worth a visit not just for Christmas food. Always a warm welcome excellent food. Thank you for a great evening."

"The Wentworth arms was a lovely welcoming place. We stayed for one night with my wife and I in a double room, my two daughters in another double room and , as we call her our adopted daughter in another room. From the word go, the staff were welcoming and very friendly. My best opinion. Value for money fantastic, food, fantastic, rooms are really clean . Our ensuite bathroom was clean, slight gripe and only one was the shower ceiling Could do with attention. But I am only saying that to help this business. The breakfast staff were friendly and a nice freshly cooked meal with orange juice, tea,coffee,cereals . If you want posh, this is not for you. But if you want a proper value for money place to stay, with clean rooms , it really is for you. Also you have a great community pub, and bar meals were reasonably priced. Thank you all the staff. We will be back. Phil, Julie ,Jade,Laura, and not forgetting Emily"
