They got a prize for their mayonnaise egg that I took and it's a pleasure. beautiful decoration, everything is well thought out for young children (price adjusted for small portions, changing mattresses in the toilet). everything is good and cooked products are of very good quality. we highly recommend you!!"

"Both the places that I had earmarked for dinner in Dinan were closed for holidays - so I wandered the streets in the old town looking for somewhere else but found nothing but uninteresting-looking touristy places. So back to my hotel for an early night when I saw this place next door. Going in I received a warm welcome to a civilised dining room; and the food on the fixed price menu turned out to be very good. Although meat-eaters are catered for this restaurant concentrates on fish. I opted for the day's special - La Nage de Poisson (literally the fish swim) - which turned out to be a sort of mixed fish stew in a thick crab sauce, accompanied by glazed vegetables. It needed a spoon as well as a knife and fork; and plenty of good bread to mop up - and was excellent. Local ham was OK; and creme brulee was good; and wine was available by the half-bottle; which is good for solo diners."

"We were so impressed during our first visit that we came back the next night, I had the local pork sausage the first night, and looking at the side table that took the steak, they said it was excellent then the next night I had that and reported it as very good. the staff spoke a little English but was patient with me while I was trying my French. Overall, a comfortable restaurant is small but of good quality."

"We wanted a vegetarian option as a member of our group is a carrot muncher! Difficult to find in France but Fleur de Sel in Dinan was superb! Limited option of only one starter and one main but enough to satisfy the most ardent of herbivores. As for the rest of the group we had oysters, beef gravalax for starters and the main dish we chose the same of grilled fillet lemon sole which melted on the palateFor desert everyone chose the cheese board. Unlike other establishments where you are limited to a number of choices but at Fleur de Sel you can have as many varieties of cheese as you desire from the selection trolley.Service was friendly but of a high quality. Other menu choices looked equally appealing and I'd highly recommend this servicesWe were fortunate in that, although we had not booked the patron prepared a table for our small group. However this is a popular restaurant so would book in advance if going again."

"Having driven 400 miles and not overly impressed with the nearby hotel's menu, we ventured to this restaurant and... what a find. The nautical/ pirate décor provides a quirky yet comfortable theme. It was not too busy on the Sunday evening and the smiling, friendly...waitress spoke good English and promptly served drinks including local beer and a carafe of tap water. We were hungry and ordered quickly, my wife had a vegetable crepe, with salad and hand cut chips which she said was delicious and my tasty well stacked burger and chips was top drawer. With a couple of large beers, the bill was just €27, excellent value and highly recommended. The restaurant also has a bar and sells beer to take away so to cap a lovely meal, I also bought a box of local French bottled beers to take home ... and very nice they were too!"
