"So we were walking down the streets of old town in Antibes around lunch time and saw this cafe serving Italian cuisine with a 4 and a half star rating on trip advisor. With a hungry 8 year old and considering the good rating, we decided to take a table. The server, a young man, noticing we were sitting on the cafe/bar side told us to take a table on the other side and we did as we were told. When he came to put the mats on the table, my 8 year old excitedly asked him the wifi password and the man rudely replied to the little boy "I'll come back with it". My son was still ok, as long as he was getting the wifi password. He then came back with the menu and that's when my husband asked him another "offending" question. My husband wanted to know which pizza he had served to the table next to us as he liked it and wanted the same pizza. For some strange reason, the server was really offended this time and his exact response verbatim was : "I can tell you what pizza it is just by seeing! We have so many pizzas!. You look at the menu and tell me which one you want." By this time, we realized the guy was either not happy with his job or he just had some personal problem going on in his life and it was definitely affecting his work. Within the next two minutes, we got off the table and started to leave and the Paterson of course didn't seem to be bothered and he goes on to say: "ok, you don't want? Ok, bye!" So neither did we get lunch nor did we get our wifi password and the idea of a service worthy of a four star rating seemed to be far fetched. I would definitely never go back to this place ever again. After this "ordeal", we went to La Galerie, where we were greeted by happy smiling faces with excellent service and good food of course!"

Stopped for a drink before exploring Antibes. Should have walked a little further in to the town and saved ourselves a little money. Memo to self don't stop at the first bar! Visualizza piatti

Visited for a light lunch with family. Service and ambiance was good. Food on the whole was ok, not great typical quick sandwich/panini menu. Drinks and service both good. Would visit again but probably wouldn't eat here again- only down to personal preferences.

Located just after Antibes´ ramparts, in old town, next to the port. Sitting in this humble snack/restaurant place you feel part of Antibes strret life. Surprisingly freindly and carrying staff (for french standards :-)). Simple food - snacks and good value "plat du jour" are tasty. Do not advise to order other meals as they are very ordinary and average taste and quality.

We did not want a meal as we wanted to see as much of Antibes as we could in a short time; but we did want to sit down. Eventually we found this café after quite a long walk around. There were lots of sandwich places but where could we also sit and have a drink as well? The service was excellent by a young intelligent waiter who spoke good English. The sandwiches in the usual white baguettes were good enough though the bread was as usual rather stodgy. Visualizza piatti

We had the set menu for two courses @ 16€/ head. My wife had a fish course which was succulent, tasty and very well presented with ratatouille and rice. I had the Lasagne as the local man next to us, who appeared a regular, had it served up and it looked delicious, not disappointed. The house wine was excellent and we had Glacon provided. I actually saw the guy on the next table put ice in his red wine. It was a very hot day, (30c+) My wife had an apricot tart and I had creme brûlée, both excellent. Overall a very reasonably priced meal in a very expensive locale!

We visited most of the French Riviera for two weeks. We ate at many places in various cities (Nice, Cannes, Ventimiglia, Fréjus and Antibes, our home base). Our last night in France we were tired and not too hungry. Couldn't decide where to eat so we picked a place that was close and we could people watch. What a surprise! Café Felix's meal of the day was just written "aioli". We knew what it was but had no idea how it would be served. We took a chance. What a delight. It came in a large shallow bowl with a cup of aioli in the middle and a good sizes piece of "morue"(cod). This was surrounded on all sides buy sliced hard boiled egg, boiled potato with its skin, cooked chunks of carrots, cook...

"In this location, surrounded as it is with large restaurants spilling out onto the pavement with their me-too menus of les pizzas and pâtes and overly familiar sounding meals, it is most unexpected to find a bespoke and personal restaurant offering a fine selection of dishes cooked with care. The menu, described appropriately as the 'carte du moment' presents a mercifully small number of seasonal and therefore changing entrées, plats and desserts. However, it is still hard to choose. Each one is enticing, interesting and original with the promise of flavours, combinations of ingredients and textures, without tricks and unnecessary embellishment. For a large number, a selection of all the entrées as share dishes makes a lot of sense. Everyone gets a taste of something and the difficulty of having to choose is avoided. For the plats, a single selection is best with pork, duck, tuna and salmon along with risotto as options on the night we were there. A fine burger also available is perhaps a concession to the location and, actually, a very fine dish. Four desserts are offered with each one tempting and beautifully prepared. Another selection for the table is highly recommended. The wine list is adequate and the ambiance works for lone dining as well as for a larger and more raucous group. The service is smiling and efficient as well as courteous. This is a place to make a favourite. The risk to this reviewer is that it will become deservedly highly popular and impossible for last minute bookings."
