"we go every year after cardigan, and now the ferry inn will be on our “must visit” list. we took our pretty new retired greyhound with us and all the employees were so understanding and helpful. we sat on the deck, as it is quite stunning and the sun was outside! I believe that the manager owner even brought over a umbrella for our table, as elba not good in the heat, to not mention the numerous fusses. eating was fantastic, I had seafood stew and my friend gammon, we really enjoyed the whole experience. to round it off, poppit sans is just on the road, as we were finished, we drove there to the walk. a fantastic place, with fantastic people!"

Lovely setting over looking river Teifi. Friendly staff. Choices of vegan burger or summer risotto. Risotto was really good. A few vegan desserts, but was too full up to try them.

My wife and I visited The Ferry Inn yesterday (4th July) for Sunday lunch. We had Vegan Caramelised Onion Chestnut Mushroom Wellingtonof which was delicious! It was one of the best vegan wellingtons I have tasted. Really flavoursome! Updated from previous review on 2021-07-05 Updated from previous review on 2021-07-05

there were 3 vegan main course options, I had a chestnut mushroom wellington, which was absolutely delicious. the vegan burger was good (teenage, not prone to enthusiasm) and we did not try the spicy dahl. the food here was always good and the view is beautiful, with view of the mouth, very relaxing at a warm evening.

many thanks for another delicious food in a beautiful location. all the staff were so friendly. there is a separate vegan menu with 3 main courses available and even an extra vegan special on the menu (the butternut squash ravioli, which was amazing. we wish they were closer to fishguard so we could visit more often and both have a drink:

No longer a separate vegan menu, but the new menu had a few different vegan options. I specified I was vegan and ordered the stuffed olive starter and the risotto. Olives came without any breading so maybe they mixed up GF and vegan as menu says it was all vegan. It was good anyway and risotto was delicious. Tried to go back a second time but was fully booked!

"From the outside this place looks tired and in need of some renovation, nevertheless, my husband wanted a fish lunch so we went inside. We were given a menu, and told to check the board for prices which was confusing in itself as the options on the board appeared different. Given it is called a 'cafe ' we hoped there would be some kids non-fish options on the menu (fussy children) but there weren 't. We therefore went elsewhere and grabbed some lunch for the children but they didn 't have time to eat it outside as we were told the restaurant would be taking last orders in 20 mins (even though this was at 2.30 and the closing time was 4pm on the door). We therefore rushed back to the restaurant and found a table outside. We ordered two rolls at £26 and a short while later, an assistant came out to tell us we would have to cancel our order as they can 't allow food from elsewhere on the premises. I politely explained what had happened and that we had ordered food anyway, but she couldn 't get rid of us quick enough and cancelled our order. It seemed she wanted to finish her shift pronto, making sure staff knew it was last orders. When getting our money back she then said they had taken the payment twice so we needed £50+ refunding! How many other customers do they 'accidentally ' take two payments from?!! I would never go back here and would never recommend this place."
