"at the bar ordered and a woman (probably a regular) commented that they are no longer in london and then began to teach me and shave her head. when I didn't come out of london, but guisborough was quite confused and asked her if she was...ok, she asked where I came and said something about watered beer. After we quickly walk outside to escape the unpleasant atmosphere, it is then that I realized the condition of the pint I was given. almost 25% foam, the head on my john smith’s was unacceptable, the renter had done it specifically to defy me, as I had not recognized the difference between extra smooth and magnet, and for that I was punished with a bad pour. I can only imagine what they would do with a real iondoner, on a place that hangs dead fuchs on the walls (real) as decoration. take my advice and continue running and miss this dive!"

Country pub no dogs allowed. Cazy. Still it was a nice walk from Staithes and back where all three pubs allow dogs in.

Our second visit to the village of Dalehouse and luckily our holiday cottages is about 200 yards away from this lovely pub. Always a warm welcome with excellent food in cosy surroundings.

Staying in nearby Staithes and went for a meal here based on good reviews. Simply could not fault the food served. It was simple honest tasty food, piping hot and plenty of it. We ate on Saturday evening and Sunday lunch both excellent. Highly...recommend.

Currently operating as a pub/tearoom. We visited twice this week while out walking. Lovely food sandwiches, scones and cakes were delicious. Lovely staff who are very knowledgeable about the area. We sat outside at the front in the sun and really enjoyed our visit....Very good value too.

Excellent ambience, and despite the mandatory covid-19 measures, still manages to keep everything cosy and welcoming! Had a ribeye steak, which was great, although the pepper corn sauce had a strange acidity to it... Wife had the haddock risotto, which was really amazing! 100% would...come back here!

we found this pub. we received a very cordial greeting from which I suspect that the renter. we ordered drinks and sandwiches and I have to say what beautiful sandwiches they were. the brot was fresh, the filling was very tasty and we loved it here. can not wait to again beautiful pub good a visit worth

What a great traditional pub. We visited a couple of times whilst in Staithes we had a good session on Thursday the beer is kept in super condition and we were drinking kronenburg it was lovely we also had a bite to eat from the...tea room menu the food was fine. came over this pub on a walk from staithes, it ended a few more times on different walks sitting outside on the front side in the sun, every time it was nice. had a look at the inner and it looked comfortable and... almost wanted to rain to force us inside! really nice rental and dame the beer is fantastic and a great price. I can also recommend the scones I really think a half apfelsine and a sense with jam and cream should be a thing. it is delicious! in a beautiful place, great beer and friendly people, what more they need!
