"It's always a culinary and cultural pleasure to come back to Gass 17! As soon as we are back in Switzerland, we are immediately drawn here! The dishes are divine, taste like they look, delicious, colorful, locally sourced and simply good!! Same as the ambience; The high table, from where you can watch the chef prepare something, is my favorite place and you can enjoy the warm fire right away! The best thing to do is reserve a spot online, especially when the sun is already peeking out a bit! "

"Sehr freundliche Mitarbeitende, vom ersten Mailkontakt bis zum Checkout, auch im Restaurant. Kleine Details wie mit dem Namen begrüsst zu werden, führen dazu, dass man sich als Gast geschätzt fühlt. Das Zimmer war schön und sehr sauber, die Aussicht auf den Landsgemeindeplatz toll. Das Essen im Restaurant super-lecker. Ebenso das Morgenessen, noch warmes Gebäck und sogar belegte Brötli und auf Wunsch Eierspeisen gibt 's auch nicht überall. Kann Hotel sowie Restaurant definitiv weiterempfehlen."

"Wir waren gestern Abend hier und hatten einen perfekten gelungener Abend. Als Grüessli vom der Küche gab es eine GurkenMelonenkaltschale mit Zitronengras. Sehr erfrischend. Als Vorspeise 1mal den Schwartenmagen mit Salatbouquett und 1mal das Thunfischtatar mit Avocado und Mango. Als Hauptgang, unser Highlight, das Chateaubriand mit Bernaisesauce und Risotto. Qualität von den Vorspeisen und Hauptgang perfekt. Sehr empfehlenswert. Zum Dessert hatten wir 1mal das Lebkuckenmousse, 1mal Chesecake (im Glas) und 1mal Schoggiküchlein mit flüssigem Kern (im Glas). Alles top. Unsere Getränke auch sehr gut. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend und Danke an den freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service und die hervorragende Küche. Gerne wieder."

"Sunday at 11:05 a.m. me and my companion come to the restaurant. At the reception we were bluntly told that it was still early to eat something. However, there is no indication of when the kitchen will open. The restaurant is empty, then We chose a table for two ourselves. The waitress pointed us to another seat for two right next door that wasn't reserved. However, there was no sign on the first table we chose. She asked if we wanted something to eat. When we answered the question with yes, she said it was still very early and asked if we wanted something to drink. We left the restaurant and said a friendly goodbye the boss didn't think this was important and was quiet. Fortunately, lack of decorum as a restaurateur is an absolute rarity in Switzerland. I find it strange that a restaurant that opens at 10:00 a.m. doesn't offer food until much later. The kitchen would be expected to be open from 11:00 a.m."

"Ich habe diesen Ort noch nicht gekannt, obwohl ich schon einige Male mit dem Motorrad daran vorbeifuhr. Zukünftig werde ich bestimmt nicht mehr so einfach nur vorbeifahren und die Gelegenheit für einen gemütlichen, kulinarischen Abstecher in diesem herrlichen Plätzchen nicht auslassen. Klasse, kreative und überaus frische Küche eine professionelle, kompetente und äusserst angenehme Bedienung Schön, diesen Platz gefunden zu haben!"
