Pretty, well kept beer garden with good food and live music. It was obvious that this was a family-run operation, as an old man and woman kept poking their heads out the door to see that everything was running smoothly. The live Bavarian music was...a treat as well.

We ate here a few times during our Schoenau visit and enjoyed it very much. Excellent Bavarian food and drink with a beautiful interior and relaxing biergarten full of locals dining out. They also have a Festsaal, and since the UEFA tournament was in progress...we had a blast watching the games there. Good Times!

after the time we spent in the eagle’s nest, we drive to lunch down the mountain to the king’s lake. I ordered the fish without the head (fish directly from the sea.) my sohn had of course sausage! Ich dachte mir, vorn Metzgerei-hinten Biergarten, kann nur gut sein. Leider wurde ich enttäuscht. Der Sauerbraten war kaum mit dem Messer zu schneiden. Geschmacklich auch die Klöße fade ....Das Kohlrabi Schnitzel war gut.Aber Bäume, wie von anderen beschrieben, konnte man vor lauter riesigen Sonnenschirmen nicht sehen ...Von anderen Gasthöfen verwöhnt, waren wir nicht begeistert.

during our holiday we ate more than any other place. the food was excellent (we seem to have worked our way through the menu) the beer flloss easy (berchestgarden hofbrauhaus) but my gott! the imperial shmarrn. the imperial marrn was a joy. it would get five stars for that alone. but. go there when d’funtenseer’s local dance group) - we had the best time we ever had on vacation. it was a hoot! fantastic! the beer helped, but everyone had a ball!

We had a very tasty and reasonable meal here. The service was reasonably quick and the beer and salads were good. The children's meals were huge! There was a shaded play area for the children with lots of toys and it was good value. The...reason I have only awarded three stars is that the owner was very negative towards our children and scolded us when our children had a minor spat. worst feeling ever. I'm usually calm, this time I almost lost my mind. I was at the ransom to become physically aggressive 1 hour 15 minutes we wait for the food, and after an hour 15 comes the waitress to say they don't have what. I order more. after an hour 15 minutes it is unbearable. then I took something else and that was hardly right, nothing special. not enough meat, not enough food. I've never been so frustrated. I never go there again. it was one of the worst times I had in a restaurant in my life, and I'm 40 years old.

from here to lunch, the beans were good in the nürnberger style, sour kraut was great, milder than typical, and beer was the same as everywhere...the outside door sitting area is big and they advertised live music at certain nights. decided to go back in the next night, but the weather had closed the outside area. they have several inexpensive dinner specialties. Jäger schnitzel with cream sauce, bear kartoffeln (heimfries) and green beans ordered together with an salad. all were very good. the only side is just two people waiting tables. they are friendly and very efficient, but how the gas house slowed down the service. all tables were full until 19 hours.

A lively restaurant with a large number of tables outside. We chose this for our last evening in Bavaria and were pleased to see a few tables free when we arrived, s we moved towards one of them a waitress (from her age demeanor...one of the more senior employees) stood in front of us, and, without saying anything wagged her finger at us. Were they reserved? Who knows? A less comfortable table at the side was pointed out, so we took that. The food was pretty good (but unremarkable), and did arrive quickly. But when I tried to pay our bill, the waitress who served us wouldn't accept our money (even though it was cash) and told us to pay another , older, waitress. She seemed to be taking the m...
