Grindhouse - Homemade Burgers

I was waiting endlessly for my food, got very angry and when I asked they told me 2 more minutes! The air condition is set to cool at winter time with -5c outside..? Don't go, I am still waiting for my dish.

Burger was fantastic and I am a real foodie, however was disappointed as when I went to the toilet my meal was taken away and I had hardly touched the chips, but the meal was very pleasant anyway and burger was top notch!

By far the best burger I had in Berlin! The Chili Cheese Porn is a must-eat. Top that with the Truffled Parmesan Fries and a Grindhouse Mule like I did and you have the perfect combo to start off the weekend! Staff is supa nice, they even offered us Hierbas shots at the end! Highly recommended!

The waiter there had made us wait for 20 minutes to give our orders, prioritised people who came later, and when we asked if we could order, he said "one minute, im working!" in a horribly agressive way and then accused us for being aggressive and made a scene. And we eventually left without having a chance to eat. This is no way to treat any customer.

After a cold and rainy day out sightseeing, we drifted towards Prenzlauer and happened upon Grindhouse. What a stroke of luck: friendly and efficient service, comfortable seats, and delicious homemade burgers. I had the Jack Daniels BBQ Deluxe with sweet potato fries and sweet chilli mayo, washed down with a local pale ale. A feast of simple flavours. It was just what the doctor ordered.

We had two different burgers and I would suggest having your beef medium rare. Could have used a bit more taste on the beef, but luckily the sweetpotato fries worked their magic in their saltiness. Wasabi mayo worked extremely well with the sweetpotato. The best thing about the place is that it is a stylish burger joint without looking like your average diner. Not to mention the neighbourhood is most gorgeous in Prenzlauer Berg.

I have been to Grindhouse last week with a couple of friends and it was delicious. The quality of the meat was fantastic and the special sauces like truffle mayo were perfect in combination with the fries. The restaurant was quite crowded, but we found a table without having a reservation and the service was good and friendly. I'm not usually the burger person, because I don't like the typical fastfood burger places, but this restaurant has a good atmosphere and is more like a proper restaurant than a quick burger pitstop.

I write this review in English. I live around the corner and I must say that I haven't eaten a better burger yet in Berlin!! The signature Jack Daniels Burger is fantastic, as well as the Parmesan and the sweat potatoe fries. Not really sure why people complain about the service, at it always has been perfect. Especially this one guy (dont know the name) is so extremely friendly, attentive, fast and professional. I just know he is from Berlin has a couple of brothers and sisters :-) I went 3 times with my dog, they always brought water for him without asking. Very tasty although it was still pink inside and i wasn't given an option for how i wanted my burger to be cooked.My husband had thr jack daniels burger which looked amazing but had just a little too many toppings for my liking.
