"Really enjoyed our meal here, service was great, the owner was really busting her butt to make sure everyone in the restaurant was taken care of, filling up wine and beer glasses as she ran to and from the kitchen. Despite the notable shortness in staff I didn't feel as though we were at all neglected. The food was amazing!!!! A bit on the pricier side but the portions are huge and the quality was top-notch so well worth a nice evening out. Had the deer with cranberry sauce and spaetzel, everything fresh made. Will absolutely be going back during our next visit to Lahr. Thanks very much for the wonderful meal."

have eaten here twice at visit in Freiburg. Eating is always good. varied menu with very delicious local dishes, large portions, extensive drinks. good service. very popular, so best to book a table, especially on fri sat.

We have stayed here many times due to grandparents living in the town. When we visited for my grandmother's funeral the staff were very accommodating, especially of the English contingent! We had a wonderful celebratory meal and the food was fantastic! The children had a great time and ask when we can next visit!

Very cozy small hotel. Very little choice for vegetarians, but available choices are tasty. One risotto, one rosti, ..that's all. But good quality food nevertheless. The best feature was the warm friendliness of the hotel owner who's family is the serving staff. Such friendly and helpful people, attract you to the place again and again. Breakfast was the best with a fantastic array of breads and cheeses.

In the past, I have already eaten in this very good restaurant and this time I was once again very satisfied.I ate a very good "red beet carpaccio with caramelized goat cheese" as starter, followed by a very good "veal steak with Asparagus and risotto". The cooking of the veal (requested as medium) was perfect.The service was good and very friendly (only issue : in German only), the choice of local wines is interesting.We paid around 100 € for 3 drinks, 3 starters, 3 main dishes and half a litter of local red wine.I strongly recommend this place.

this restaurant is located on the outskirts of lahr and offers a good kitchen, but also a beer garden for the hottest days. frequented mostly by native it seemed, it offers a very unique atmosphere. the food served from a top-notch standard, with a good variety. from German and European meals in the offer. the quality of the meat was exceptional, the presentation very good and service also exceptional. the beer garden under some big trees was packed when we were there, I guess the place can be around pax, but don't let it be a scary one. that's a must when parking in lahr. was a problem.
