"My colleague and I were on a four day motorcycling visit to the Somme area in June 2016 and ate at The Mascaret Restaurant on two evenings. A pleasantly decorated dining area with clean table cloths and cutlery. The food on both occasions was first...class, fish and lamb. We also had an excellent bottle of wine for each meal (dinner). The staff were attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"We did not book, but it was low season and very early evening. The restaurant was opened at 7 p.m. We arrived at 18.45. Behind the bar was a woman with glasses. After all, a waiter arrived. They started playing cards behind the bar, back to us, over the bar. 7 o'clock approached. They continued playing cards. Every time we saw them through their closed door, they laughed and made us feel very uncomfortable. We waited until 7.15 and left to eat another restaurant. I found this behavior unacceptable, illuminated and finally we just wanted to eat something. I looked at the restaurant when we were out in the cold. It looked nice. We went to another restaurant at the other end of la rue Ferte, called la Ferte, and the reception we had was completely different. Although we preferred the L’Ardoise menu, we were warmly welcomed and had a super meal with very hard working employees. I usually don't write reviews, but feel like the non-chalant and unprofessional behavior of the two people who have left us, supposedly a restaurant, in the cold, far beyond their opening hours, continue playing cards and laughing at us."

"Simply perfect for the menu at 17,90€. The promise is kept, very nice plates, very good reception, good service and no waiting despite the fact that the restaurant was complete. The formula offered outside Saturday evening and Sunday leaves us the choice between 3 entries, 3 courses and 3 desserts. There are almost all the dishes that are homemade. After the little lover's mouth, the entrance is nice. The duo of fish and lamb with onion jam are very good. The bread served with the dishes is excellent. Everything's gathered to have a good time. On the flat side, I chose the pepper bath with the homemade fries and again, no false note. Same for my wife who was tempted by the cream molds. It's not ultra copious but perfectly balanced on the whole. He might be a little vegetable to accompany, but now I'm chipping. To conclude, I'm offered for dessert, I jump on it and I have no disappointment even the tile that accompanies the dessert is made home. The 3 chocolate cruncher plate was also very well presented and excellent!! After a little coffee, no surprise at the check. It's a faultless... bravo to the whole team! I can only strongly advise him, it would be difficult to avoid the price and quality of the entire establishment."

"Mon épouse et moi y avons mangé ce vendredi soir, pour être franc tout à fait par hasard. L’accueil et le service sont sympathiques même si un peu brouillons.La cuisine est très correcte et les plats que nous avions pris étaient maison (sauf les frites), les portions copieuses, le tout pour un prix très doux (66€ à 2 avec menu 3 services, apéritifs, une grande bouteille d'eau et une bouteille de vin).Certains petits détails laissent à désirer, par exemple la terrasse venait d'être nettoyée et la balayette était encore sur le sol, le vin a été débouché sur une table à côté de la notre avant de nous être servi sans dégustation préalable. Sans çà, vu le prix, c'était très correct, je ne ferai pas un détour pour y venir mais j'y retournerais avec plaisir."
