It's nice, cozy tap room, couple of appropriate handpulls, basic food menu. Portions are small...so you won't be excessively overeating but there's a distinct lack of vegetables/salad with most dishes. All table service, so they bring drinks to you...doesn't feel like a pub, but with the number of random steps it's probably a good idea.

On a very cold day, after a good country walk, we wanted a pub meal and fell upon this place!! We got a great welcome from the minute we stepped in the door! The place was full but we were welcomed, seated and served quickly. The vegetarian fish and chips was the star meal!! It tasted brilliant and the owner was excited to discuss how we liked it and took the time to explain how he made. It was brilliant as was all the other dishes we had.
