"We have been here several times. The place is like a roadside diner... sort of long and thin, next to a busy road. The atmosphere is informal and busy. Easy parking. Seating is comfortable, and they start service at 7pm so great for kids. You can see the pizza chef at work. Good choice of pizzas, which have always been delicious, and salads are fresh. House wine is very palatable. Prices are reasonable and in our opinion it is good value for money. The service has been ok, but the waiter (the owner maybe), does make you feel a bit stressed! If you don't give your order fast enough he breaks off from your table and goes elsewhere! He has no time for small talk, and is not interested in the kids doing their own ordering. Makes you feel a bit sort of.... unimportant!! He is polite enough, but preoccupied as he is often the only one serving, clearing, seating, ordering and getting payments. There is also a takeaway service so if you are unlucky enough to be caught up in a big takeaway order, there may be a wait for your meal. We will go back in the low season."

Went to this restaurant on the first night of our holiday. Lovely pizzas and helpful service. The restaurant seemed busy with local folk and tourists alike. Also does a fast trade in take away.

Visited last week with a local, pizzas and pasta very good, drinks, reasonable, atmosphere v good. Only down side was my steak which was almost still alive!! Rawer than blue. Promptly cooked on though. Enjoy

We arrived just on opening and were soon seated and served - great when travelling with kids. The pizza was good and the staff were friendly.The location is a pleasant stroll away from town - good for walking off a slice or two after you have eaten. Visualizza piatti

We were given a table and then ignored for almost 45 minutes. Impossible to catch the eye of any server. When we finally managed to call the boss he did not come to our table but simply called across that we would be served when it suited them and if we didn't like it we should go elsewhere. We did.Avoid this restaurant at all costs.

A total fan of the Mandoline where the pizza is consistently good. But it does get busy particulary at weekends, and there is only one pizza oven so wait times can sometimes be long, especially as they are also doing take-out orders. Recommend the Roquefort pizza and also the one with lardons, potatoes and creme fraiche - Savoyarde(?) - yummy!

La Mandoline is not the place to celebrate your wedding anniversary but if you want a quick, reasonably priced pizza, especially with children, then it can be recommended. I have had better pizza but I have also had much, much worse and the green salad was very acceptable. The red wine was a bit rough and the desert menu limited as often is the case in France but overall verging on a three star plus. Don't go with expectations and you won't be disappointed. This is a friendly unpretentious little restaurant run with a skeleton staff. Food is good and reasonably priced. However its popularity in off-peak times can be its undoing in peak times. Having reserved a table and ordered, it was an hour's wait for the first dish to arrive, subsequent dishes arriving at three minute intervals. The starter salads arrived after the main course. (We thought they had been forgotten and didn't question to avoid further delays.) The priority seemed to be given to their obviously busy take-away business, as a procession of people strode out of the place with stacks of boxed pizzas. Tried to go for lunch at 2pm and were told they were closed so we came back for lunch the next day a bit earlier. My wife ordered a pizza margarita and I decided to try the confit du canard. What possessed me to do this at an italian restaurant that specializes in pizza is beyond me, but I guess I did not want all the carbs of the pizza. We arrived at 1pm this time and did not get our order taken for 20 min. We did not get our food until after 2 and it took 20 minutes to pay. Worse, the food was not worth it. "Visite en famille, guidés par les derniers conseils positifs découverts ici... Venant de Belgique, où le steack frites est une institution pour toute bonne famille qui se respecte, j'avoue avoir du mal à comprendre le qualificatif de "bonne table". Non pas que je ne sois pas de bonne foi... La carte est courte, ce qui laisse présager des produits frais, la carte de bières était plus intéressante qu'ailleurs, et les produits étaient de relativement de bonne qualité...MAIS, car avec une note pareille, forcément, il y a un MAIS, de bons produits ne font pas tout, encore faut-il savoir les cuisiner, et les présenter comme il se doit. Compter 24 euros pour une entrecôte charolaise avec une sauce au poivre digne d'un sachet Knor. Belle pièce de viande, mais à peine saisie (du coup caoutchouteuse à souhait), non assaisonnée et se faisant l'économie d'un peu de verdure... Clairement, visuellement, pour son plat le plus cher, le chef n'envoie pas du rêve... Et les frites dans tout ça? Les quoi??? Apparemment c'était bien l'accompagnement qui nous était servi... Et c'est bien dommage, car c'est un des seul établissement à réaliser une découpe à la main... Mais à quoi bon, si c'est pour s'arrêter au stade de la pré-cuisson et refourguer au client des frites qui s'effondrent vers le bas sous l'effet de la gravité avec autant de croustillant et de fermeté que des que des tagliatelles? Le désir d'une vrai cuisson a pourtant été communiqué au chef en voyant le plat de notre petite fille arriver, mais il n'en a visiblement pas tenu compte, sans doute était-il débordé à l'ouverture du restaurant alors qu'il n'avait encore à gérer qu'une unique table...Bref, si vous avez une voiture, à moins de prévoir un budget digne du Manoir d'Agnès à Tarascon, déplacez-vous un peu plus loin, ou achetez votre propre viande à un producteur local pour la cuisiner vous-même, ça sera largement moins cher et il y a de forte chances, sans même être un cordon bleu, que vous vous en en sortiez mieux que le chef dans le cas présent..."
