"We were on holiday and decided to canoe down the Dordogne - having raised quite an appetite we searched for somewhere for lunch and came across this lovely restaurant quite by chance.It was a very hot day and to sit on the delightful terrace with shade and a light breeze was a treat. The restaurant is beautiful as is the setting. Service was very friendly and the lunch menu had varying prices lunches for a three course set lunch. We opted for the 18.50 E and it was fantastic! Best value food and best food we have had in a long time. The French really know how to do lunch!We had smoked salmon gravalax and Fois de Gras soufle - both had beautiful flavours and subtly. For mains we had Duck and Fish. My fish was bream with a wonderfully delicate pesto type mash with rocket and crispy skin. The duck had a wonderful plum sauce and dauphinoise type potatoes. For pudding we opted for the creme brulee with chocolate ice cream which was out of this world. The wine choice was brilliant - I recommend the Bergerac Sec - and the decaff coffee was the best I have had.Couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly - just loved the whole experience."

Une belle adresse à découvrir dans de département où les repas sont de véritables festins ! Grand raffinement des plats tout en saveurs loin des cantines périgordines à touristes. J'ai adoré votre cuisine.....

How pleasant to find this little gem just outside Saint-Cyprien, where the service is ultra pleasant and the food spectacular. What an afternoon it was enjoying Perigourdine cuisine in this sophisticated setting. Thanks for a truly extraordinary meal!

We were staying in Saint Cyprien and located this restaurant and were not disappointed. The wait staff was attentive and the meal was excellent. We also enjoyed a bottle of the local wine. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. Visualizza piatti

Ce dîner a clôturé nos vacances dans la région. Compte tenu du temps nous avons pu dîner dehors. Le seul bémol est qu'il n'est pas interdit de fumer et les odeurs de tabac sont forts désagréables. Le repas a été un vrai régal. Bravo pour la présentation des plats raffinés qui a mis nos papilles en éveil.

Nous avions suivi les avis de TripAdvisor mais nous avons été déçuMalgré un accueil parfait du personnel, le repas à 28 euros reste basique. Le foie gras, annoncé mi-cuit était carrément cru.La formule à 38 euros est alléchante mais là aussi un peu chère comparée à d'autres restaurants aux alentours Si vous y allez tout de même je vous conseille le Sandre très bien préparé

We were a group of 6 friends and have been many times . The food and wine is best we have had in or around Sarlat .i had the scallops followed by cod . Both were divine .Why this place does not have a Michelin star is quite behold me as the food is of that standard but not as expensive.Place is owned by a young French couple and they both helpful and fun .If you in the Dordogne, and appreciate good food , then this place is not to be missed Visualizza piatti

En chemin, le nom nous a interpelé "le bistrot d'épicure", nous nous arrêtons dans ce lieux somptueux, un accueil au top et ensuite que dire, que du bon encore et encore.Un lieux superbe, un service rapide carré, avec le sourire.Et la cuisine, l'éveil des sens, des plats d'une finesse, d'une saveur, un semi gastro qui vaux très largement que l'on s'y arrête si on veut très bien manger et que l'on aime ce genre de cuisine.La propriétaire à l'accueil et au service forme avec son mari en cuisine un duo d'enfer.Merci pour ce moment de délice.

Très bonne table, cuisine moderne. Il y a des assemblages qui sont réussis comme les St Jacques aux herbes sur riz japonais et glace wasaby.. Et d'autres moins comme. Le cœur de ris de veau, sauce madère et risotto de fregola Sardaigne : trop rustique, trop fort qui écrasé la délicatesse du ris de veau.... J'aurais dû lui préférer le dos de sandre aux fèves vinaigrette de poivron et pousse d'épinard. Terriblement délicate la soupe de pêche à. L'infusion de basilic et sorbet kiwi. Une proposition à 38€ entrée plat dessert très honnête avec un cadre et un accueil sympa... Je conseille vivement mais ne vous trompez pas dans vos choix

"Overall average experience at the restaurant which is disappointing considering the price level. Food was a 4/5 but service was average at 3 and atmosphere/ambiance was poor at 1. Food presentation was a 5. Foie gras and cheese plate were average which is surprising for the region. Risotto with a supplement was not worth the extra money. Scallops, goose breast and chocolate dessert were great. Service was average mostly because the waiter and waitress would drop and run. I ordered wine pairings and I can not tell you what wine I had as they poured and ran away. As for the poor atmosphere/ambiance, the lighting is way too bright. You need sunglasses. Dimmers need to be installed to create a more intimate/romantic environment. Lastly, there was a table of 7 sitting next to where we were seated. 4 adults, 3 children. The parents allowed the youngest of the three to ruin the evening of many patrons as the child was permitted to run freely throughout the dining room. From one end to the other with multiple stops at our table. When the child wasn’t running he was whining at the table as he demanded to be free to roam. The parents may have thought it to be cute but this was not the place for them or their misbehaved child. The wait staff never even acknowledged this with us during service or even when we were paying. This was the ultimate disappointment as it would have been appreciated had they at least mentioned it or offered an after dinner drink as a way to express their thanks for us having to be seated directly next to the inconsiderate family."
