Great, rustic French restaurant with a very friendly owner! We felt like we were a part of the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely meal here - cosy atmosphere, friendly maître d and great food. The steak was really tender and the local wine very tasty.

Cool atmosphere, on a tiny street with a lot of french character. A bit pricy, but that what you would expect from center of Montpellier.

Stumbled upon this place on a weekend away. Nice small restaurant with less than twenty people. Friendly service, great food for good price. I got lucky, but booking ahead is a good idea.

Nice staff,very good food and wine,lovely atmosphere,reasonable prices. The only weaker point was the toillette as there was no water disponible to wash you hands because the water tap was broken. Very rocommended!

Well wht to say: excellent food, really pleasant music and the owner is very polite and helpful.We tried the tartare, foie gras, snails and the goose leg: absolutely recommended!If you still feel hungry I would recommend as well the tarte tatin and the chocolate cake!Enjoy!!!

L'image is a small cosy place with friendly, relaxed service. During our visit with a party of four we all went for the menu selection. The first an main course were delicious. We had various salads as starter and lamb, tartare, ravioli as mains. Both the wine and the dessert were good but not as great as the food. All in all we would recommend l'image as it has great food for a good price.

We found this place through The Fork, it would have been very hard to find otherwise. The restaurant is quite small, but it seem to have a big heart! We were very well taken care of, and even got some lessons in French. We decided to go for the menu, which had a very good price for what you got. Delicious food, definitely didn't feel like a tourist trap, probably due to the hidden location. I'm pretty sure we were the only tourists there on that evening, the rests must have been locals. I would gladly go there again.

Strolling the winding streets of Montpellier in search of dinner we chanced upon L'image on a tiny back alley. The diners at the outside tables appeared happy and the food appeared promising so we checked out the menu. That was when our host said he "spoke English like a Spanish cow". Somehow that hooked us in and we chose the last small outside table for two. The menu was limited but the choices excellent. We started with entre salads - salmon and duck. Both were generous, well seasoned and tasty, complemented by excellent bread, but then this is France. Our plats of gambas and duck comfit were similarly large and well prepared.
