"Siamo arrivati al ristorante dopo un pomeriggio di escursioni a Monte Croce. All'inizio eravamo un po' incerti se ci avrebbero fatto entrare a causa dei nostri vestiti sportivi, dato che le foto del menu sembravano molto eleganti. Tuttavia, questo non è stato un problema e abbiamo scoperto che l'atmosfera del ristorante era davvero molto rilassata. Ci hanno offerto deliziosi arancini e grissini fatti in casa, tutto a titolo gratuito. Abbiamo ordinato un tataki di tonno con salsa ponzu e un carpaccio di manzo con olio al tartufo come antipasto. Il cuoco è stato così gentile da separare il nostro carpaccio in due porzioni perché non posso tollerare l'olio al tartufo. Come piatto principale abbiamo preso pasta con gamberi e pomodorini e ravioli con formaggio di capra. Il nostro dessert ci ha fatto saltare dalle sedie: una crema catalana con crumble di cannella e gelato. Il cibo era sicuramente preparato con amore e di altissima qualità, proprio quello che il dottore prescrive dopo una lunga escursione. Il servizio è stato molto cordiale e persino lo chef è uscito a un certo punto per assicurarsi che andasse tutto bene. Questa è stata senza dubbio la migliore esperienza gastronomica del nostro viaggio e, anche se non era il più economico, il rapporto qualità-prezzo del cibo qui non ha nulla a che fare con i ristoranti cari intorno al Lago di Como. È piuttosto “fuori dai sentieri battuti” per la maggior parte dei turisti, ma ne vale sicuramente la pena e i soldi!!!"

"alcune opzioni GF, tra cui una piccola selezione di pizze GF. le pizze gf sono cotte nella stessa delle pizze regolari e non sono adatte per zöliakie. lo stesso vale per le fritte designate da gf, ma sono bollite nello stesso olio come prodotti contenenti glutine. il cameriere era aperto e chiaro circa la possibilità di cross-contamination in cucina. Se sono celiaci, non saranno troppo entusiasti. se in ordine con un piuttosto a righe indietro e semplice (ma saporito) carne o piatto di pesce è buono."

"I was in Bellagio on a solo holiday, and had eaten at the other top rated restaurants in town prior to this night including the Michelin guide one). This restaurant was reviewed by others online as casual , and is up on top of a hill. I decided to try it out, so I made a reservation. It was a hot 30 minute climb up the hill including many steps) from the centre of town to reach this restaurant. I arrived very hot, and was welcomed warmly by the person at the front. I was shown to a table on the patio, and presented with a menu and water was delivered shortly afterwards. All was well at this point. Unfortunately, I was then left for 30 minutes without anyone coming to the table. I was getting bitten by mosquitos, and I watched two other tables get seated after me, who were then served and ordered drinks I still hadn 't even been given a drinks menu. I wondered was going on, so eventually I got up and went inside and asked if someone would be coming to serve me, as I would like to order a drink, as by this point I had drank the whole bottle of sparkling water I had originally ordered. I was told that someone would be coming. Bread was then dropped off by someone passing by without saying anything. Finally, the chef came out to the table and asked me if I was ready to order. I said I had questions about the menu, but I would like to order a drink first. The chef told me that he was very busy, and did I want to order food or not? He was extremely rude, so I asked to speak to the manager. The chef then told me that he was the owner, and that he wanted me to leave his restaurant, and he told me to get out. I was shocked and upset. I went back to the front to the nice person who had welcomed me, and I found the chef angrily addressing her in Italian. He then turned to me and mentioned my “dress code” and was aggressively pointing his finger at me. The woman instructed the chef to return to the kitchen, and I left the restaurant in tears. I must point out that I was dressed in long shorts and a v neck t shirt very similar to the American man sat at the head of a big table next to me. I cannot help but wonder if the chef would have addressed a man in the same way, as I did not see any other guests ‘dressed up’ for dinner. I eat at high end restaurants all over the world, and I have never been asked to leave a restaurant before in my life. This was not a high end establishment. I had to walk 30 minutes back to the town crying most of the way) to try to then find a restaurant for dinner. It was almost 9 pm when I got there, but my appetite was gone tbh. The chef should stay in his kitchen if he is unable to treat guests with respect. If the chef wants a “dress code” for his restaurant, then he should inform guests in advance as other establishments do. Utterly disgraceful behaviour, but Karma comes after everyone eventually."

"In una affollatissima domenica in cui (purtroppo) non eravamo riusciti a prenotare e in cui alle 14 la maggior parte dei locali aveva la cucina chiusa, siamo stati colpiti dalla gentilezza del personale di questo locale tra i vicoli di Varenna, che ha mostrato da subito classe, eleganza e gentilezza, facendoci accomodare e soddisfando ogni nostra esigenza.Il menu ci ha stupito dall’ antipasto al dolce. Ogni portata è presentata e cucinata magistralmente.Davvero consigliato."

"Locale stupendo, accogliente e tenuto in ottime condizioni anche per quanto riguarda la pulizia, che offre una vista sul lago di Como straordinaria anche la sera. Il personale è gentile ed estremamente professionale mentre le pietanze sono molto buone e l’impiattamento ben curato. Essendo io molto difficile quando si tratta di mangiare pesce ho chiesto se era possibile fare un mix di due primi piatti presenti sulla carta, richiesta che è stata accontentata meravigliosamente. Il menù è vario ma non dispersivo o eccessivo, offrono sia opzioni di pesce che di carne adatti a soddisfare le esigenze di tutti ed hanno una scelta, anch’essa non molto vasta, di dessert e vini che però sono ben selezionati e assolutamente ottimi. Per quanto riguarda i prezzi non sono bassi ma secondo me adatti per un ristorante che offre cibi di qualità e che dispone di una vista mozzafiato. Super consigliato per una cena romantica a lume di candela ma l’ideale anche per una cena di famiglia o con gli amici."
