"Asked a couple of ladies just on the high street if they could recommend somewhere to eat and they said 'Mama Mia ' . So husband and I went to said eaterie and it was welcoming lovely ambient place and we set out to choose our food ! Some Italian restaurants tend to all have the same taste but wow not this family run establishment ! I ordered the special (basically a seafood linguine but they called it a regu) Husband had The Penne Mama Mia which he loved . Also a garlic bread and for once not ripped off with the price of wine . A carafe 500ml of house red £12.50 Happy days !!! Husband had a lovely Italian beer bit pricier at £8.50 but loved it . The flavours were just lovely in our dishes and the family run touch shone through ! A good shout to those two lovely ladies that steered us to Mama Mia a jewel in the High Streets Crown indeed. Grazie !!"

My friend and I popped in on the off chance today, wonderful food and staff were lovely, highly recommend. Wasn't busy but that was lovely as we could chat over a bottle of wine and didn't feel rushed

Olives brought to table, thought they were complimentary, but was charged £4.75. Service also charged, with an option to delete, after the event. Ordered lamb, not impressed with quality or flavour, accompanying veg etc minimal. Salmon dish, accompanying veg etc again minimal. Overall expensive for quality and quantity. Would not rush back.

Lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Rochester. Easy to walk from any parking place. The service was nice and friendly. They have a big variety of dishes and desserts, I loved the specialties of the Chef. I love the meloncelo was delicious. There is a good selection of wines The decorations are very Italian and cosy. Portions sizes are big. You might need to reserve at night time. They have outdoor seating. Is possible to pay with card or cash.

Five of us were there for a birthday dinner, 2 of the party are Vegetarian. From the moment we were greeted, throughout the meal, and as we left we were welcomed and looked after with care. The staff didn't know it was a special meal for us, clearly this is their standard level of excellent service. The food was simply delicious and fulfilling. Cooked, presented and delivered with obvious care and pride. It was a deliciously lovely meal, all of it. We all had something different, and all of us felt exactly the same. Food to die for. Visited this restaurant for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Received a warm friendly welcome and the lady explained the specials to us. The restaurant is traditional but thankfully steers away from the the obligatory gingham tablecloths and candles in bottles. Service is smooth but not in your face. The menu is varied with a couple of choices i have never seen before.I chose the specials of the day which was a frittata type dish fried in breadcrumbs served with cheese sauce and a seafood ravioli both were delicious.All the food was served hot and well presented .The wine was very good.
