"My husband and I have eaten at Buccelli's many times and so he decided there was no better place in Lancaster to hold a surprise 60th birthday celebration for me with family and my closest friends. I later found out that Bruno the owner, had been very accommodating in organising a menu with my husband, with a choice of great options, that were pre-ordered. The food, wine and service on the evening were fantastic and helped to create an atmosphere that reminded us of times we have spent in Rome, where a meal is an integral part of a celebration. I was delighted with my surprise celebration especially when I realised where I was going and our guests, several of whom had not visited Buccelli's before, were very impressed with the quality of the food and the range of specialist wines available. I want to say a very personal thank you to Bruno for all his help in the secret planning of the evening and to his amazing team of Ben, Bonnie, Jake and Theo for making it a night to remember! For all of you who have never been to Buccelli's, you don't know what you are missing. It's a little piece of Rome in the centre of Lancaster. Whether you go in for lunch, dinner or just a coffee and cannoli, you won't be disappointed!"

"Had a great meal at The Water Witch. They where great with last minute booking changes and pre orders with great wheel chair access. Food arrived within 4 minutes of being seated. I know it was a preorder but still, it was very well timed. The steak was exactly what I wanted, and the peppercorn source wasamazing. Cheesecake was biscoff with Wallis clotted cream icecream and a passion fruit mix sauce, the base was soft and the cheese melted in your mouth. On top of this customer service was perfect. Our server/waiter greated us when we arrived and showed us to our table. Overall 10/10 I had a great night and Will be returning for an afternoon cheese board."

"An oasis for a great range of well kept, properly pulled Cask ales. Service is timely and with a smile. Great choice of ales on tap. Food is always good quality, well prepared and presented. Great location next to the canal but handy for town. Spacious pub, with plenty of seating inside and out. Worthy winner of Camra awards and will no doubt feature in future polls. Highly recommended."

"Overall, I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I visited on a Saturday night and it was not very crowded. There were two fantastic singers performing live, but they were too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation while eating. The starters were good, although a bit pricey for only four prawns in sauce, and the bread was delicious. However, the main dishes were bland and served with dry packaged rice and a lackluster chopped salad. This was a stark contrast to the restaurant's earlier years when it first opened. Despite this, the staff were friendly and accommodating."
